The vibes of this place were very nice. The inside just looked like a typical bar setting. The outside was where to be personally. They have corn in the hole and a sand pit for the kids. I think with how it looks they could definitely add a little playground. Kids play and parents are more than likely to stay longer to have a few beers or food but what they had was great nonetheless.
Now the food…holy crap. I bit into that burger and I was in heaven. It didn’t need any additional seasoning and the two patties were juicy and smack in the face good. I would honestly say it’s the best burger I’ve had in town at least since Bobby J’s closed. The fries were crispy and fresh. My old lady got the carnitas grilled cheese and she loved it as well. I gave it a shot too and I do agree it was very good. Everything was so good that I went the following week with a friend. Just keep in mind that the food does take some time to come out even when it’s not as busy. Not that I care personally I’m just letting y’all know. At the end of it, it’s well worth the wait. Everything was reasonably priced as well. We got 4 main meals, two soft drinks, 3 specialty alcoholic drinks, and 2 beers and it was a little over $100 including tip. We also stayed for several hours because it was just nice to be there in general.
What I’m basically saying is if you love a damn good burger and damn good food and you happen to be in the area definitely check this place out!
I had the carnitas grilled cheese. The carnitas had good flavor but it was more like a sandwich than a grilled cheese. The queso was good but the chips were too hard. The lunch special was reasonable at $9.99 for an entree, side and drink.
It’s a nice spot for the area but I don’t think we’ll be back.
Typically, I enjoy my food. They generally do have good food. I was really craving a hamburger with a GF bun. It’s the one place I’ve been that has good meat and their GF buns taste almost like normal wheat. I called in the order, a 20 min wait – no issue.
I arrive and wait, once I’m helped a young man tells me they *were just about to call* me to let me know they were out of GF buns. Long story short I was less than pleased with my convo. I wasn’t rude or impatient. And I ended up getting a hotdog with a GF bun. And much to my disappointment it was burnt. I also could barely chew the bun, idk if they cooked it too long or was stale but it was rock hard.
To whoever owns or operates the Yard, you should review a young man who works on the weekend interacts with your customers. The interactions I’ve had he’s always seemed irritated to be there.
You pick up a menu on your own and order at the window, and go inside to pick up your food. I wish I could have tried one of their cocktails, but I was driving. Their lemonade is refreshing and not too sweet.
I ordered the flatbread pizza with arugula, prosciutto and a balsamic glaze, which was excellent. The others liked their food a lot too, which is your typical sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, etc. Didn’t hear any complaints. I would come back.
Took the food to go and still held up really well ↕️
Definitely somewhere to go closer to the evening for the vibe but they have really good lunch specials
Leashed dogs are also allowed in the back area
