The original plan wasn’t to come here to eat. We were somewhere downtown and the place we intended to eat was just packed and we couldn’t find parking. My old lady mentioned The Yard as a place we’ve all wanted to try and since it was basically close to home we decided to just go.

The vibes of this place were very nice. The inside just looked like a typical bar setting. The outside was where to be personally. They have corn in the hole and a sand pit for the kids. I think with how it looks they could definitely add a little playground. Kids play and parents are more than likely to stay longer to have a few beers or food but what they had was great nonetheless.

Now the food…holy crap. I bit into that burger and I was in heaven. It didn’t need any additional seasoning and the two patties were juicy and smack in the face good. I would honestly say it’s the best burger I’ve had in town at least since Bobby J’s closed. The fries were crispy and fresh. My old lady got the carnitas grilled cheese and she loved it as well. I gave it a shot too and I do agree it was very good. Everything was so good that I went the following week with a friend. Just keep in mind that the food does take some time to come out even when it’s not as busy. Not that I care personally I’m just letting y’all know. At the end of it, it’s well worth the wait. Everything was reasonably priced as well. We got 4 main meals, two soft drinks, 3 specialty alcoholic drinks, and 2 beers and it was a little over $100 including tip. We also stayed for several hours because it was just nice to be there in general.

What I’m basically saying is if you love a damn good burger and damn good food and you happen to be in the area definitely check this place out!

We went around 1 p.m. and waited a little over 30 minutes for our food plus about a 10 minute wait at the counter to place our order. The food itself was good, but it wasn’t hot when it arrived.

I had the carnitas grilled cheese. The carnitas had good flavor but it was more like a sandwich than a grilled cheese. The queso was good but the chips were too hard. The lunch special was reasonable at $9.99 for an entree, side and drink.

It’s a nice spot for the area but I don’t think we’ll be back.

My sister and I tried this place for the first time tonight. We loved it. The food was good and the service was amazing. Michelle was super sweet and very tentative. We had great conversation the whole time we were there. She made us feel right at home. And the prices were very good. They have some really good daily specials as well. We will definitely be going back!!

I have been here a few times. Service is always good. The drinks are reasonably priced. The food is pretty dang good. The atmosphere is what sets this place apart. The people are chill. The outdoor patio is awesome and very spacious. During the learner months they do parole and other events which is pretty cool.

I’ve visited the Yard several times, both during the week and on the weekends. I’m disappointed that there’s a noticeable difference in the kind of service provided on the weekends, as this isn’t my first negative experience on a weekend – it seems to be the same staff member.

Typically, I enjoy my food. They generally do have good food. I was really craving a hamburger with a GF bun. It’s the one place I’ve been that has good meat and their GF buns taste almost like normal wheat. I called in the order, a 20 min wait – no issue.

I arrive and wait, once I’m helped a young man tells me they *were just about to call* me to let me know they were out of GF buns. Long story short I was less than pleased with my convo. I wasn’t rude or impatient. And I ended up getting a hotdog with a GF bun. And much to my disappointment it was burnt. I also could barely chew the bun, idk if they cooked it too long or was stale but it was rock hard.

To whoever owns or operates the Yard, you should review a young man who works on the weekend interacts with your customers. The interactions I’ve had he’s always seemed irritated to be there.

I came here recently to meet some new friends. There were about seven adults, including myself, and four kids in total. I can’t say about indoor dining because we ate outside, but there were plenty of picnic tables, though we moved around a few times because there were a lot of ants, LOL. (The joys of outdoor dining you find anywhere.) There was also a sprinkler going, which is great for the heat, but some in our group wearing glasses found it a bit much. There’s a sandbox for the kiddos, which was great since some of us brought kids.
You pick up a menu on your own and order at the window, and go inside to pick up your food. I wish I could have tried one of their cocktails, but I was driving. Their lemonade is refreshing and not too sweet.
I ordered the flatbread pizza with arugula, prosciutto and a balsamic glaze, which was excellent. The others liked their food a lot too, which is your typical sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, etc. Didn’t hear any complaints. I would come back.

My burger was absolutely perfect! The taste was absolute heaven. The perfect amount of blue cheese & bacon, the potato bun was soft and the meat was so tender and tasty. I purposefully ate slowly to savor every bite. The fries were golden and crispy outside with a soft center and just the right amount of salt seasoning. I was pleased with the atmosphere as well, I ate indoors, and played jenga outdoors. Fun for the whole family, which is always nice. There was a stage, and although nothing was going on there at the moment, I will definitely go back another day now that I have found this spot.
