We decided to drive around Loveland to check out the area on a Saturday and came across The Works Pizza Co. The kids were absolutely intrigued with the train car and demanded we go there for lunch. Our first impression was a bit strange, almost like entering a restaurant that had just opened and was not prepared for customers, although it was like 12:30pm. We asked if we could sit in the train, and although it wasn’t technically open yet, they gladly opened for our kids, which they very much appreciated.

Service started off a bit rocky (again, I think our server had just arrived for her shift), but she was very friendly.

As a person with a gluten allergy, I always get a bit concerned when a place has a gluten free pizza crust, but no one seems to know about what other foods may or may not have gluten.

We had pizza the night before, so I wasn’t feeling more pizza, and since they do not have any gluten free bread, I decided to go with the wings and loaded cheese fries. I asked our server if the fries had just shredded cheese (since they apparently serve liquid cheese as well) and she assured me they did. My son ordered the adult burger (no kids burger), my wife got a club sandwich, and my daughter got the spaghetti and meatballs.

Everything came out correct, which is always a plus. I started with the cheese fries which were very tasty. Problem was that as I continued to eat, I realized that there was most certainly liquid cheese in the mix. Now, some places have adapted to not use flour to thicken their liquid cheese, but… some places have not. That instantly turned me off on the fries as the risk far outweighs the reward.

So, I switched to the wings, which were amazing! They were so crispy I could swear they had a light coating of breading on them. It’s been a long time since I have had wings that crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside. The only problem with the wings is that $16 is a lot for just eight medium sized wings. But that is more an inditement on the cost of wings everywhere, as opposed to being a problem with The Works Pizza Co. Even though it was $2 per wing, I would likely order them again, they were that good.

My son seemed to enjoy his burger; my wife said her sandwich was tasty; and my daughter liked the pasta but didn’t like the meatballs. They were those soft, kind of mushy type of meatball, which I am not a fan of either. I would also say that $11 for a kid’s spaghetti and meatballs is a bit pricey.

Overall, I think we would go back, especially during nice weather to sit on that outdoor patio near the fire. I do wish they would put a little more effort into identifying what is and is not GF. I did not have any symptoms from the liquid cheese or the wings, so they are obviously GF. Why not just make that clear on the menu?

This was our first time at The Works Pizza Co in Loveland. We came simply for the Gluten free Pizza option. We are always a little apprehensive when trying a new restaurant due to having Celiac disease but this one we recommend to others!!
Initially the server didn’t know the answers to my questions but did not hesitate to go talk to the kitchen. They have a system for gluten free/celiac orders so we ran with it. We got the gluten free pepperoni, extra pepperonis (per the little) and a gluten free chicken Bianca pizza. Both were phenomenal!
And we can report that we weren’t sick at all after the experience! Kudos to this establishment and their team!! Another restaurant that we consider safe to eat at!

The Works is such a fantastic spot — great atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently delicious food and drinks. What really stood out was their willingness to open early to support our local girls basketball team between games. That kind of community support means so much. We’re lucky to have a place like this that truly shows up for local families and athletes. Highly recommend!

The Works Pizza Co outdid themselves by dressing the dining room in pink to welcome Move Beyond Surviving Breast Cancer Survivors after an Evening Hike on the Little Miami Scenic Trail.

The staff and pizza were both outstanding!

Located on the edge of downtown Loveland, it’s being surpassed by the bushes and bustle of other restaurants a block away.

It’s a bit tricky to find free parking, but it’s close if you are willing to walk. I was very surprised to see a fire wasn’t going outside on a chilly night. The inside was very sparsely populated.

I got the commish (pepperoni and sausage) and it was tough to really find the toppings. I know it’s fired pizza but me crust was dark, the folks a table over, crust looked perfect. My wife liked the anti pasta salad, my daughter loved the spaghetti and fruit.

Service was awesome, but there wasn’t a ton of folks there

So it’s a bit hit or miss.

Went to the new Union Location! ❤️
Spinach and artichoke dip was fabulous! We also enjoyed the pretzel and cheese and the Chicken Bianca Pizza was outstanding!
The staff was so nice and accommodating! Bartenders Tyler and Lacey were friendly and on top of everything! We will be back! I think a Super Tuscan wine added to the menu would be top notch.

Delicious pizza joint right in downtown Loveland near Nisbet Park. With the new parking lot it’s lots easier to find a spot close by. Our kids love the train car, delicious pizza, and arcade room! Plenty of beers on tap and be sure to hunt for ducks while you wait for your pizza to be prepared.

First time here! Macie G. was my server and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Asked to be sat on the train part and she took me straight there. The fried pickles and Works burger was great. Cooked perfectly. Highly recommended if you make your way to Loveland Ohio.
