Loved this place!! Visited while on a bike trip and loved every aspect of it. Feels like the grassroots community we always search for and still has the authentic listening room vibe. Drinks and food were awesome too.

This place is amazing. I love the listening room environment and the ribs were among the best I’ve had in my life. Everyone working there was cool. It’s a vibe. Go check it out.

This place used to be my neighborhood bar and favorite hangout. There has been a change of ownership and a huge change in the vibe. If you love boomers, barbecue, and boasting you’ll love the new look. I’m tired of “sold out” signs and the lack of diversity. It can be a sweet small venue but what I’ve seen there recently hasn’t really been my style. Not a fan of the changes or exclusive nature of the place lately. And I really miss regular Wednesday night jazz.

Great venue. Intimate, and great music. Jhett and Callie are great hosts and know their biz. They work super hard to bring in great acts. Been there 3 times. Will go back again and again. Great bbq food options too.

A Hidden Gem for Live Music Lovers in Chattanooga!

Pleasantly tucked away in the heart of St. Elmo’s historic district is an intimate spot to enjoy live music, great food, and a friendly atmosphere. Though the space is small and seating is limited, every seat in the house offers a great view and sound—there truly isn’t a bad spot to sit.

The Woodshop is known as a “listening room,” which means the focus is on the music. The atmosphere is respectful and immersive, where guests come to listen, not talk over the performance. Expect to hear everything from blues and jazz to bluegrass, often performed by talented local bands who know how to connect with the audience in a cozy setting.

The food is consistently good, and the service is warm and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you’re there for the music, the food, or just to soak in the local charm, this spot never disappoints. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon something special, because it is something special.

Come discover something you won’t find anywhere else in Chattanooga. Tell Jhett and Callie Sioux, Jason send you.

This was my first visit to The Woodshop and I will visit again. Great small music venue. Music volume was great. Can see performers from all seats/tables. All personnel were friendly and helpful. I recommend visiting The Woodshop. Check their website to see who is performing.
