This was my second time to visit. I ate the same thing both times, grilled chicken salad with red wine vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious. I ate at the bar both times and received excellent service. The artwork in the ladies room is good for a giggle.

Everything I’ve had on the menu has been amazing, from the club sandwich to the grilled pork chop.. There’s a nice size bar that makes lovely cocktails. There’s even a patio, including a bar with outside seating.
Check it out. You won’t regret it.

We had an amazing server – she was prompt, professional, and attentive without being bothersome at all.
Both the pretzel sticks and onion rings appetizers were exceptional – possibly the best versions of each that I’ve ever gotten at any restaurant.
I had the Leon – a perfectly battered and fried fish filet, turnip greens braised with bacon, and a delicious remoulade sauce. Whatever alchemy was used to concoct this beast of a sandwich must be shared – it was to die for. The fries were perfection as well – great cut, cook, and seasoning. I also had some of a companion’s grilled chicken Ceasar, and it was equally as delectable as the rest of the table fare.
10/10, and I don’t state such things casually. We will absolutely be going back soon.

It’s a great location, in the woods! It’s a rather simple menu but pepper jack cheese sticks for an appetizer and then blackened mahi mahi with onion rings and mac ‘n cheese for the entree was a good meal! Service was friendly and attentive.

My wife and I just for fun always look up places to go to eat. Our search for a restaurant took us to this out of the way restaurant that has proved to be a 5 out of 5. If you are traveling make it a priority to visit this out of the way restaurant. We drove 2 hours or so to see if they were worth the trip. They were. So go! You won’t be disappointed.And don’t forget to ask for Hannah. She is a superb waitress!!

We where looking for something different to try and found this Gem when we did a search. We are very pleased we gave it a try. Went on a Saturday just before 5. Not too busy but lively crowd. Seated right away. Drinks where great, I got a Cosmo and hubby got a titos and Soda. We shared Pretzels and Jalapeno cheese curds. Both where very good. Cheese dip for pretzel and ranch for curds tasted homemade. My husband got shrimp and onions rings and greens for sides. Sides where great, shrimp was good. I got the chopped steak with Baked potato and greens sides. I was very happy with everything on my plate. Meat was seasoned perfectly and potato was perfectly cooked. Hubby got a slice of peanut butter pie and loved it, I tried a bite and liked it.
Our waitress was VERY attentive and helpful the whole visit. We where given cheese sticks instead of cheese curds but the fixed that and left cheese sticks too. They where spicy for my taste. We can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu. They are new (open 2 weeks) and seem to be doing great so far.
Only negative is parking is not set up great.

The Wood was a fun experience, but not one we’re dying to go again. The service was excellent, with pace of appetizers and food getting to us very fast. The food though was just okay. On par with a Applebee’s or something like that. Food overcooked, a little lacking in anything making it special. Overall a good restaurant
