I don’t believe in 5 star ratings because nothing is perfect but this place was surprising to me. Everything from the food to the waitresses (Alinia) service was above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend visiting this place when in Tobago. Two thumbs up

Delicious food. HORRIBLE service!!
I don’t know where to start, because I still can’t believe this is the same restaurant where I had such a good breakfast experience.
1- Tried to enter the restaurant at 6:20pm, gate was locked. Indian(?) lady (owner?) comes to let me in. I’m the first and only customer. She motions to a table, turns on the fan. I sit and wait…
2- 6:30ish a couple enters (they have a reserved table). She seats them and chats a bit. Still nothing to me.
3- 6:35 Same Indian(?) lady (owner?) brings them menus and explains what’s available. She then, again without a word to me, finally places a menu on my table and walks away. Fyi the place is dimly lit and the menu is dark blue, so a bit difficult to read the menu.
4- 6:40ish She finally comes to take my order and I ask if I could get a glass of water “right away, please “. Another reservation come in. There are now 3 tables with 5 customers.
5- 6:45 I get my glass of water – no ice included and no straw. (I was given a straw and ice with my glass of water earlier that morning at breakfast) I request a straw. She gives the newest guests their menus, goes over what’s available and chats for a few. More minutes pass and she pulls up with a straw in her hands, no paper. Just in her hands.
6- 6:55ish A covered basket containing one slice of bread is, again wordlessly, placed in front of me. My glass of water is also now warm and half empty. So I request some more water, with ice, please. That took 5 more minutes.
By now there are 4 tables with about 8-10 customers total. I again hear her explaining what’s on the menu and chatting to the other tables. Maybe she only explains the menu and is friendly to people with lighter complexions…?
7- 7:25ish I notice the 1st reservation has gotten their food…ahead of me.
Anyway, my food order finally showed up to my table at around 7:30ish.
At 7:50 I went to go find her, requested a takeaway box and paid my bill at the back of the restaurant by the bar.

As delicious as the food was – I had the crispy pork belly with jasmine rice, and paw-paw (papaya) salad – I can’t/won’t overlook 1- the ridiculous wait time and, more importantly, 2- the obvious difference between the way I was treated as a dark-skinned Black woman and the way other light-skinned/white customers were treated by this woman. It was a complete 180° from the friendly attitude of the breakfast staff. It’s not the treatment I expect when I come home to T&T!
Needless to say, I won’t be returning to put any more of my money in her pocket.

*This is the same restaurant as Breakfast at Wonky’s*

I had such an amazing time, I absolutely loved it! The decorations were beautiful, the venue was stunning, and the food was incredible… I could honestly eat it all over again. Everything about this place was perfect, from the atmosphere to the staff, and it was spotless too. It’s great for kids, adults, date nights, literally everything friendly lol. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tobago!

First time dining here for breakfast . I do enjoy these quaint restaurants this part of town where there are several different ones in this cluster , so unassuming but yet delightful . Overall a sumptuous food and experience . A mix of both international and local items . Great vibes , service and delicious hearty food . Will return again !

Dinner at Wonky’s Windmill tonight and it was honestly such a great experience. The place has a really nice, relaxed vibe and the food did not disappoint.
I had the crispy pork belly with mashed potatoes and a paw paw green salad. The pork belly was cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. The mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and paired really well with the pork. The paw paw green salad added a fresh, slightly sweet balance that brought the whole meal together.
Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the presentation was beautiful too. Definitely one of those meals where you slow down and enjoy every bite.
If you’re looking for a spot with good food and a nice atmosphere, Wonky’s Windmill is worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back. ️✨

My family of seven adults visited this amazing restaurant yesterday. The food was exceptionally tasty, delicious and very filling. The service was on point. The waitress was so attentive. This is the second time I visited this lovely restaurant. I would advise anyone to visit. The ambience was so relaxing and cosy.

If you are in the Store Bay area, this is the place for breakfast! Didn’t get a chance to test their dinner menu as it was a short trip, but always a next time. Couldn’t get one of the fancy decals to write something on (think it’s only for the dinner crowd?) but put my hat so easy to guess where I was coming from Go Jays!

Absolutely terrible. We pre booked a table and had 5 guests. We waited over an hour from ordering to receiving our food which was 3 burgers, 1 fries and 2 wings. No apology for the wait. When coming to pay we were informed the card machine was broken and we could only pay cash or online payment. As a tourist hotspot, and as tourists we did not have that much cash and we are unable to do a local bank transfer when we aren’t locals. If it was no card payments then we should have been informed before we ordered. They added a “tax” to each of our bills (separate bills) and we asked what this was for. She said service charge however the service was poor with waiting over an hour for food. On top of that we all received different service charge amounts. When questioned the staff informed us it was via percentage. However one person was given a higher service charge than others and they ordered less. Would avoid this place at all costs. The food was nothing special.

Great food and great vibes! I visited this establishment on a Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised by the cosy decor. The customer service was on point. We got garlic bread with our order of shrimp and chicken Alfredo and those were amazing as well. Even the beers were the right temperature and my margarita was delicious. The karaoke was the best part of the night. We would definitely visit again.

Hands down the best food I ate while vacationing in Tobago. Owner was exceptionally accommodating and our food was delicious. I do recommend making reservations as it will be worth it.
