My wife and I had a rare opportunity to celebrate our 31st Anniversary at The Wolf’s Tailor in the Garden Tent.
It was an amazing experience, we had our own secluded and private space.
Each course that Andrew, Jake and the rest of the staff brought to us, was just incredible.
This was our third Michelin restaurant that we’ve been fortunate to dine at.
I would attempt to describe the flavors but I know I would fail miserably at the attempt. Just truly amazing.

By far the best culinary experience I’ve ever had. Its tastes that you have trouble describing, and they are all so good. The staff is just impeccable, the wine pairings are fantastic, so many new things to try! If you can afford this one, you must go!

This is all I wanted for Christmas and it did NOT disappoint!! I was gifted a reservation for January and I was so excited. I’ll be honest, reading reviews the days leading up to our dinner, I was second guessing my choice based on all the low star reviews (many of which claimed they dined months prior… Uh strange). I’m glad I ignored that entirely. I don’t know where these people are from and what their expectation was, but they’re out of their minds and should get out more!!! (Or maybe just stay home haha)… I have dined at multiple Michelin Star restaurants, and this was by far one of the better experiences. Service was extraordinary. So pleasant and kind upon arrival, seated promptly, took our jackets, explained the story behind the restaurant and evening’s courses, water topped off non-stop, every course and every drink explained, multiple staff members involved throughout the meal with one main server, courses were well timed, literally nothing went wrong, absolute perfection. Meal itself was delightful. Even my dinner companion who is a bit picky was so happy. We did the mixed drink pairing, which to be clear contains different types of drinks, not just liquor. They were all lovely and unique. Wagyu was absolutely worth every penny to upgrade (do it!!), starter course was a great intro, caviar and little masa blinidls were divine, scallop was artistic and delicate, lobster and the split filled pasta were beautiful and masterful, I would commit crimes for that bread!! All the meat courses were exceptional. I’m not a big sweets person and I ate every bite, so balanced! Upon completion, received the menu walkthrough, which might be nice to have ahead, but the surprise of each course was nice too. We were thanked, they even saw the confusion on my friend’s face because they couldn’t remember if we were charged at time of reservation and ran over knowingly sensing their confusion to explain it is just held not charged. Waited for us at the door with jackets. Literally every moment sensed, planned, and managed beautifully. All in all an absolutely fabulous evening. Thank you so much for a beyond wonderful experience and meal!!

We’ve been here twice now – once during their buckwheat season (dreaming about that duck pate with bread) and once again right before their two star achievement!
First – their non-alcoholic pairing is a MUST. I cannot recommend enough that at least one person you are with order the N/A drink pairings. It is so much more interesting than the alcoholic menu. They do an incredible job creating beverages that are unique, interesting, and play into the meal. Our family was delighted.
It’s always a wonderful time – beautiful interior, wonderful hosts with humor & thoughtful insight! Every dish is a wonderful symphony of interesting flavors and art. Wolf’s Tailor does an amazing job focusing on narrative storytelling through food, and showcasing local produce.
In their 2025 (summer) menu, we were surprised by several dishes – the most memorable being a sorbet paired with seafood! Such an eye opener!
I feel like all fine dining should be enjoyed as art more than anything else. Craftsmen coming together to showcase innovation and new flavors. Wolf’s Tailor has done that every time we’ve been!

Well, I skipped one Michelin star rated restaurants and went straight to two for my first experience. Every course was seemingly more complex than the previous one. We did the wine/ cocktail pairing and added a wagyu steak course. Our top 3 courses were probably the A5 wagyu, the bread course with an excellent mole, and a butter that is out of this world, and the raviolo. Everything was delicious. The staff was wonderful. The only complaint that I’ve heard before is that you’ll leave hungry. I didn’t find that to be the case unless you’re someone that has to leave a restaurant completely stuffed to where you can’t walk. We left here feeling satisfied and content. I wouldn’t be able to justify the price on a regular basis but if you love food, it’s worth doing.

The restaurant is in an old building that was modernized in a nice way. I like the brick walls and modern windows. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. They are accommodating to people with dietary restrictions. The presentation of the food was superb. Some courses were more filling than others. The drink pairing was great. My favorite courses were the A5 Wagyu steak, and tortellini with a corn based sauce.
We had to make the reservation a couple months in advance. Due to the high cost, I am not sure if we will return, but it was an incredible experience.

Lovely and unique experience of a sustainable 8 course meal, repurposing all parts of each ingredient to make flavorful and seasonal dishes. We definitely didn’t leave hungry, despite smaller portions! Lovely restaraunt with the details of high end (coat check, wiping down your leather placemat, in depth descriptions of each dish). I really enjoyed our meal and thought the cocktails and wine were phenomenal. Stand out dishes were the scallops, steelhead trout, A5 Wagyu, bison, and tom ka inspired pasta. Had a mid meal sourdough with sweet butter and mole which was fun. The sorbet with wasabi for dessert was incredible and melt in your mouth. The two cocktails we had were 12/10 delicious, unique, and the presentation was stunning.
My few critiques for this spot since it is highly acclaimed and very expensive: better service. We had to wait quite a bit after our reservation time for a drink and greeting (about 25 min). I also had to wait for my second glass of wine. No recs were offered. Lots of staff but not much checking in or cohesion. I also would’ve liked more options for by the glass wines as it was limited to domestic/sonoma. My pallet doesn’t lean towards orange or natural wines but maybe that’s just a personal preference. I also thought there were too many sweet flavors on the last four courses.
Overall, stunning flavors and presentation and really amazing application of sustainability in fine dining. I’m grateful to have been able to experience this meal. I also loved the cocktail presentation and beautiful flavors there. Was a high end experience, but I think there’s always going to be critiques for a place at this price range/ caliber.

I think I enjoyed the mixed drink pairing more than the food, which is saying something because the food was excellent.
Every dish was a delightful blend of interesting ingredients and pure artistry. Ingredients dodged and weaved through the 8 courses, showing up in unexpected places and forms. A standout was a tasty chili oil that had been in several dishes floating on top of a whisky sour. The through lines including the drink pairing was an artful touch.
The drinks hit exactly the right notes to elevate each dish. Delightful.
My group left extremely satisfied. Im looking forward to another visit in the future.

I had 2 Michelin star expectations, so my review is strict. The meal was very good, overall. Generally, I would say that there was too much emphasis on unique flavors of the imposed seasonal theme as opposed to delicious combinations. I thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience, but I was disappointed in deliciousness per price ratio. I, frankly, expected more from the clout and price point. Very good, yes. Will I return? Not if a few other options are available. I hate to say it, but Wolf’s Tailor is borderline gimmicky. We did the mixed drink pairing, which was not what we expected. I expected a bartender curated mixed drink pairing. What it actually is is a mix of drinks that sort-of pair well. So, you’ll get some bubbly, a beer, some mead, a strange whisky sour, etc. Really enjoyed the course specific Vesper, but was relatively disappointed in the mixed drink pairing. Did I enjoy the meal? Absolutely. Did I regret the price based on what I experienced? Absolutely.
