We recently moved to the area from the island and this is one of our favourite spots. We always get a pretzel and a few Guinness. The food and decor is definitely reminiscent of the modern pubs we visited in Ireland 🙂 Prices are good especially when compared to other pubs we’ve been to in the area. Staff are always friendly and attentive, even when busy! Heather is amazing, so sweet and funny !

We are regulars at Hobbling Whale, and we absolutely love coming here! If you’re looking for amazing German beer, top-notch service, and one of the best atmospheres around, this is the place to be.

The waitstaff is outstanding — Lauren and Heather are truly amazing and always make us feel welcome. Friendly, attentive, and fun every single visit.

Make sure you try the fried pickles & their pretzels!!!
Highly recommend stopping by — once you do, you’ll be regulars too! ✨

Having been to the Kings Head a few times, was looking forward to a rebranded pub. The Kings was dirty, cluttered, and uncomfortable to sit, whether the bar or table. So we were glad to see a remodel and new owner.

Yeah, probably a lot of people, Kings Head?? What’s that? It’s just what ya gotta note, having been to both. Letting the owners know, good job.

Starting with the name, although my name choice didn’t win the contest, Wobbly Whale is so
Pub-ish. Good choice.

Walking in, seeing the pub, it looks good, clean, not full of dusty tchotchk. Plenty of tables to meet the needs of various group sizes. We, well me, picked a table for 2. My wife tolerates this process. lol.

We were waited on quickly, menus explained, drinks ordered. The beer selection was nice, and some beers are rotated out.

Immediately ordered the pretzel, was nice sized, filling? Yes. And hot.

I went fish and chips. The fries were cooked well, and seasoned. If you want em plain order them that way. The fish were stick style, much easier to eat, nice and crispy, and tartar dunkable. Plenty of food.

The wife went London burger, she didn’t complain. Clean plate.

Having read prior reviews, I tested the staffs ability to read “body language”, they all passed the test. I thought standing on the table tongue out, subtle belly rub was perfect for thirsty and hungry.

My resumé, numerous UK pubs, some bright, some dingy, all with solid beer. I think some Fuller beer would be nice, Tennent too.

Will be back. Thanks.

Long time patrons of the old Kings Head pub. Sad to see it go. But I’m happy to report. We stopped in for a “look see”
It’s NICE ! Dare I say Better, Charm still exists inside, outside incorporating outside dog friendly “beer garden”. Personality plus Bartender “Mel” handed me an award winning Guinness pour. Had the hot dog. Good beyond description, I’d return just for that. I’m bringing friends next trip and Try fish n chips.
I just miss the dart boards.

Wobbly Whale has a fantastic selection of Belgian beers. The food is top notch but the FRIES are a must have! Make this your ‘go to’ for a friendly/relaxing place to watch the game!

We popped in to see the new space , it was hopping on this Saturday afternoon . It was loud but in a fun way ! We got two seats at the bar and were acknowledged right away . The staff were only too happy to answer questions and offer a few samples ( the chocolate stout : yum ) because we weren’t familiar with some of the beers . We ordered a fish and chips and had a pretzel and were very happy with the meal ! Can’t wait to visit again .

The Whale was a blast! The food was so delicious! We had the pork bellies and smash burgers with goat cheese, and beef tallow fries.
The choice of beers is also great. Our server, Cora, was very attentive. Live this place!

The Wobbly Whale off of US-1 is an absolute hidden gem! Their burgers literally melted in my mouth — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was incredibly welcoming and on top of everything, and the whole atmosphere had such good, laid-back vibes. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the St. Augustine area — you won’t be disappointed! Ask for Heather!!!
