Our family took my bro in law to The Winery Restaurant at the Newport Beach location for his 50th bday dinner. We had a reservation for early dinner on a Sunday which was very calm for a Sunday night till 7pm then customers started to coming in. So we did enjoy our wonderful dinner with a beautiful water view with boats. Love their decorations inside the restaurant. Food was great. Service was phenomenal. Our Manager Kami, I guess the assistant manager I believe but not sure Richer was great as well as our server Jake. We got a very good and generous complimentary dessert from the restaurant for bday/anniversary celebration for my bro in law and my sis but I forgot to take a dessert pics lol. This restaurant is valet only. I have been to both locations here and Tustin but always prefer here. Overall it’s wonderful experiences.

The service was great. Everyone was very polite and attentive. The view the harbor was beautiful as was the decor in the restaurant. There was a live singer that was singing nineties music, which was awesome. There is no parking nearby.Only valet, which was 12$. The food was okay. The rack of lamb was cooked perfect, the sauce underneath was rather sweet. The brussels sprouts were very oily.I could barely taste the brussels sprout. The ribeye was good. The clams and muscle appetizer was great, the best thing we had there. We also had the Mushroom truffle oil flatbread which was a bit too oily, but tasty. The cappuccino and espresso were great.

We went to The Winery specifically for happy hour, which is still advertised on Yelp. When we arrived, we were told happy hour no longer exists, which was disappointing and confusing given the current listing.

To their credit, after speaking with the manager and explaining that we came based on that advertised information, they did honor some happy hour pricing, which we appreciated. The manager handled the situation professionally once involved.

That said, the initial experience was frustrating, and the outdated advertising should really be corrected to avoid misleading guests. If happy hour has been discontinued, that needs to be clearly communicated online.

Food just ok and service was good overall, but the situation put a bit of a damper on what should have been a relaxed visit. Hopefully this helps future guests and encourages the restaurant to update their listings.

I hosted my sister’s engagement party at the Winery Restaurant and it was absolutely perfect. Ari and Nicole made planning for my sister and her fiancee’s dream party easy. They gave us plenty of options for food, drinks, and venue. We decided to do a cocktail style event with 30 people on the Patio. We barely had to do any planning and then just showed up the day of the party. The patio was gorgeous and gave a beautiful view of the ocean (and great photos). The cocktail food was amazing and cooked perfectly. The wine was readily available and served promptly. The highlight of the evening was definitely the staff. They were so attentive and kind and made hosting the party easy. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. I cannot recommend the Winery enough for anyone looking for a low stress and classy venue.

If you’re looking for a place that never disappoints, The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar is it. I’ve been coming here for years celebrating birthdays, hosting work events, and enjoying special nights out and somehow every visit feels like a brand new experience.

From being warmly greeted by one of the owners, JC, to the incredible leadership of GM Allyson, and the amazing service from Amanda (who has truly been a breath of fresh air), the hospitality is always genuine and heartfelt. You can tell this team truly loves what they do.

The food is phenomenal. We usually order one of everything just to experience it all, like family style and there honestly isn’t a single dish I wouldn’t recommend. But my favorite is the steak;) and you must try the owners wine “TheBoyz” ask GM.

Thank you for always taking such amazing care of us. Cheers to The Winery team we can’t wait to be back again!

The Winery in Newport Beach delivers a true fine dining experience. We were impressed from the moment we arrived — the hospitality is top notch and truly mirrors Vegas-level service standards.

Even on a busy Sunday evening (full house!), everything ran seamlessly. The hostess team was welcoming, the bartenders were attentive, and management was visibly engaged. Special shoutout to J.C. and our server Kevin — Kevin was exceptional. Professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, he elevated our entire evening.

The food was outstanding — incredibly fresh oysters, a perfectly cooked wagyu ribeye, and a beautifully prepared sea bass. The live music added a vibrant yet sophisticated touch to the ambiance.

You can tell this place truly values its clientele. Highly recommend for a memorable night out.

Food was good and service was also with the exception that she would come over and then leave mid sentence. She don’t pour one glass after initial wine was opened and another staff opened it. The elk, lamb, deserts (toffee pudding and beignets) and sides( Brussels and mashed) were good. My crab was horrible, not one ounce sweetness, undercooked, and butter no salt and watered down as it didn’t harden when getting cool. So for 45$ and the easiest plate I would not recommend it at all.

We had a terrible experience for the following reasons on Valentines Day and we know they have a prefixed menu.

1. I called ahead of time to ask about Gluten Free because we have celiac
2. I was told on the phone that the lobster bisque and the frites were gluten free (its on their menu)
3. We got there and was told the lobster bisque is NOT gluten free
4. I was told the frites are also not GF because they throw them in the fryer with the crab cakes

YOU CANNOT CALL SOMETHING GF ON YOUR MENU IF YOU CROSS CONTAMINATE IT.

5. We asked for a kids steak not cooked in butter please and they mixed up the kids steaks and dint know which one wasn’t cooked in butter
6. They took them both back and simply switched them on each plate (one had a bite already so we knew)
7. I can put up with all that but this was the last straw….we had a table overlooking the harbor but we couldn’t see it because the staff felt it necessary to talk endlessly with a gentleman that was clearly more important than us in a table between us and the glass windows. So instead of the harbor, we only saw the staffs rear end.
8. The kids steak was absolutely tiny with a small bowl of fruit and my other daughter got 5 roasted potato wedges….5.

Total bill: $495, we asked for the corking fee to be taken off which they did, so it was $450. 2 adults, 3 young girls, no cocktails (3 Shirley temples)

Needless to say, we won’t be back….ever.

Disclaimer: This is my own experience on this day and this one time, our only time. Someone else could have had a totally different experience.

You guys; if you’re looking for an amazing spot to eat in Newport Beach, you have to try The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar. As a local realtor, I’m constantly helping people not just find their dream homes, but also the best places to enjoy life here and this waterfront restaurant is always at the top of my list.
It’s got everything: stunning harbor views, a polished but welcoming vibe, and some of the best steak and seafood in town. The filet mignon? Perfection. The sea bass? Melt-in-your-mouth amazing. And don’t even get me started on their wine list, it’s next-level.
Whether you’re celebrating something big or just want a top-tier night out, The Winery in Newport Beach totally delivers. I always tell my clients: “I’ve done the homework you just show up and enjoy.” Trust me, this is one of the best spots for fine dining in Newport Beach.
Highly recommend and yes, you’ll definitely see me there again soon.
