I went in tonight for my first time (visiting from Brooklyn) on the recommendation of the staff at Haley.Henry. Such a great shop! Had an incredible selection of rare, classic, and cutting edge wines from all over the world. Very impressed by the Domestic and Champagne selections in particular. The customer service was superb – I was given great recommendations and honest opinions. While on my way out I needed some cheese and was met with an equal amount of enthusiasm and help. Prices are also very good. Looking forward to coming back! If I lived locally, this would be my spot.

Super weird, bad experience!!
So I went in with my sister to buy a bottle of wine, we pick out a bottle, I bring it to the register and then the cashier asks both of us for our IDs, okay sure, my sister pulls hers out first and as I’m getting mine out they look at my sister’s ID and immediately pull the wine away and say that I can’t buy the wine because her ID is expired. Okay, super unreasonable but whatever. I then go back in by myself to purchase the bottle and I’m told that I can’t buy it because my “friend’s ID” was expired! Mine was not expired, but they said I couldn’t buy a bottle of wine from them for 24 hours! Incredibly unreasonable and weird rules.

The woman at the front desk was short with me and has been in the past. They did not have the wine I was looking for. The beef boursin sandwich is really nice. I would recommend the sandwich.

Great sandwiches, desserts and selection of beer. Just all around a gem of a place! I especially love their Italian combo. They’re really fast too, I often call ahead to order. They have really great desserts, like the chocolate cashew/pecan clusters. 10/10 recommend.

My partner and I went in and were refused over one of us not having an ID. Mind you, we’re both pushing 30.
As someone who knows retail laws regarding alcohol sales in MA, to demand IDs from not only the purchaser, but accompanied guests is optional and discretionary. The guy with the dark energy and gray beard is just being a dunce.

$11 Sandwiches?!?!? For truly the best sandwiches in town?!?!? I’ll never get over it. Do not forget the sandwiches!! They are often overlooked. I find out all the time that people “didn’t even know they sell sandwiches” but that they shop there for cheese, specialty foods, and alch??? How could you miss the most important part!!! March up to that deli counter and order the best sandwich by far you will eat in this area.
Anyways, I’ve been coming here since childhood with my parents and to me it’s the perfect place.
PS: thanks for selling the big bags of Torres truffle potato chips. The little bags just aren’t enough for me hahaha

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have a wonderful selection of cheeses, a wide variety of flavored savory chips from Spain and Ireland plus tasty US versions, as well as a nice array of spirits cider beer and wine crammed into their space. I also liked the variety of tasty things for the kitchen, chocolate, things such as Ramen soup base. Really fun place to browse, especially if you happen to come looking for Savenors on a day when they are closed as happened to me!
