the ambiance of this place is just incredible. we had the room for a big group, and it was perfect to chat with the warm lighting and light music in the background. everything we ordered was delicious, especially the baked brie, the cheese appetizers and bread pudding. and i absolutely LOVED the grilled shrimp risotto. highly highly recommend!!

Love Love this place! Love the decor the atmosphere was chic and wine selection extensive. We had the wine flight and a huge tastey mushroom appetizer and the bourbon desert so Delish!

This place is a great little spot. I got an old fashioned and the bacon white cheddar burger cooked to medium rare. The old fashioned was a solid one, priced fair for the area. The burger was seasoned amazingly, cooked perfectly to order, and came with a large side of potato chips. The waitress, Gabby, was polite, professional, and the food was served in a timely manner. Definitely will be returning.

Julia was excellent host. Appreciated the Italian wine selection. Ripasso on menu was wonderful. Would have given 5 stars, but the menu didn’t say the veal meatball or sauce had spicy heat. Did takeout on chicken pesto spaghetti and will post about it. Very nice atmosphere, decor, and seating situations with bar and bar tables area as well as various table situations. Also really enjoyed the background music selections.

Update: Although this is a nice place with a quaint interior vibe, the price of wine is now exorbitantly priced. We’re not penny-pinchers, but we typically do at least a bottle, so it makes sense to go to other better alternatives in the same area. Additionally, my favorite crab cake appetizer was down-sized and is just a little disappointing. Service is not consistent. My original review is below:
Cute winery atmosphere with great food and service. The crab cake appetizer is recommended. It’s garnished with corn, which is a bit odd, so maybe leave that off. Great selection of wines, of course. There’s patio seating along Lane Ave when the weather is nice and convenient parking in the rear.

I moved to Upper Arlington only a few months ago. This is one of my favorite places. I come here, at the very least, once a week. Service is always great. The food is fantastic. The wine options are great. I’ve only gone during lunch or mid afternoon for wine/snacks, so I can’t speak to what it’s like in the evenings. But it is a very cozy laid back place with delicious and reasonably priced food and drink. I’m partial to the cheese boards and salads. Julie at the front of house is extremely nice and remembers me every time. I recommend the wine bistro to everyone I know and bring my friends and family here when they visit.

The atmosphere is amazing! It’s the cutest rustic French vibes, great food, but sometimes service can be sort of slow. I try to remind myself maybe it’s that “European vibe” as that’s the case in many European restaurants. As long as you aren’t trying to rush through dinner, you definitely want to stop here!

Good food! We went for a small dinner and ended up going during happy hour so we ordered the Juliette flatbread and braised veal meatball from there and the soup of the day, which was cream of mushroom. The flatbread was tasty and so was the veal meatball. The mushroom soup was our favorite of the three: thin, but rich. The service was just okay. The ambiance was nice though, a cozy little wine nook with mood lighting. Good little spot.

First time at The Wine Bistro, celebrating a friend’s birthday with a party of 15. Large groups can be tough for restaurants to handle, but they were very accommodating. We had one server for the whole table, and he did a fantastic job—timely, attentive, and honestly better service than I’ve had at some high-end spots with parties this size.
The food was good, though the menu is on the smaller side. The drink menu was okay, but the wine selection is definitely impressive. I tried the truffle mushroom bread as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious!
Overall, a great spot for date night, a casual evening out, or even a fun girls’ night.
