If you’re looking for the ultimate après scene in Aspen, the Wine Bar at The Little Nell is it. The vibe is absolutely electric — DJ spinning, champagne flowing, and that perfect “see and be seen” energy where you never know what celebrity you’ll run into. Plus it has quintessential Aspen feels . It’s lively without being chaotic, elevated without being stuffy — just the right balance.
The cocktails are exceptional (don’t sleep on the classics — they execute them flawlessly), and the wine list is as thoughtful and impressive as you’d expect from The Nell. Every detail feels intentional.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Manager Lane runs the room like a pro — present, polished, and somehow everywhere at once. Colin behind the bar is a rockstar — creative, fast, and genuinely engaging. You can tell this team doesn’t quit. Even when it’s packed, the energy stays high and the service never slips.
And a huge nod to Gina, Director of Food & Beverage at The Little Nell, who clearly orchestrates the entire experience with excellence. It shows. From the music to the service to the flow of the room, everything feels seamless.
Aspen has plenty of places to grab a drink — but this is where you go for the full experience. Five stars all the way.

Spent last Tuesday in the wine bar after skiing for drinks and small bites. Luke, the bartender took good care of us. Good music with live DJ’s. Wasn’t too crowded.

We lived here each night as the staff, service, music and atmosphere were simply fantastic. Max, Gabriel and Jordan were so patient with our large group. They had the best personalities and really made our experience phenomenal. Nothing but praise for the entire staff for making this such a great environment. Highly recommend getting there early to get a seat but we never had an issue waiting for a spot to open.

I went to the wine bar during spring break with my buddies and had a blast drinking our favorite wines and trying new ones. Oscar treated us like royalty and the hole staff was excellent. The wine selection is out of this world. I would definitely recommend this bar for anyone that likes the best wine and/or even if you just want a few drinks from the bar.

Before going here you should know that there are 2 different areas where you are allowed to sit depending on whether you are a guest of The Little Nell or not. If you are staying at the hotel, you can sit in the bougie, comfy lounge that is roped off and in the far end of the bar. If you are NOT a guest, you are told you can sit on hard, wooden, backless stools and still pay $35+ for a glass of wine. The wine and service was good, but we didn’t appreciate being treated like 2nd class citizens. We saw other groups walk out in disgust after being told they were not allowed to sit in the “special” area. Not a good policy.

Probably the single worst experience we’ve ever encountered. The wait and bar staff were wonderful. The manager on duty was nothing short of arrogant, belittling and down right rude. These are tough times right now for the hospitality industry and the last thing we wanted to do was to write this type of review but something had to be said. It was disgusting the way he treated his patrons. Instead of taking a tactful, respectful and accommodating approach to reminding people of the COVID guidelines he instead took a serious authoritative approach which caused several patrons including our party to end our night early. Someone with a lack of human decency and temperament like this should never be customer facing and frankly shouldn’t be employed in hospitality because there was nothing hospitable about it. We will never visit this establishment or any establishment they own again.
