I never leave reviews, but the food here was shockingly bad. We came here because the wine list was very good (accurate) as well as the tinned fish (also very good). But the food was barely edible. They were out of the two nicest dishes, the steak and the pork shank, and the dishes we ordered did not live up to the descriptions or were cooked well. The salmon with “wild rice” came with boil in bag white rice (pictured) and was deeply overcooked, while the beet salad had canned beets and grocery store cheese crumbles, not “Jasper Hill blue cheese.” The grilled chicken sandwich was ordered with low expectations and failed those, with a chicken breast smaller than the cold bun and potato wedges that were somehow firm in the middle.

The wine list was extremely good and very well priced, and the tinned fish was excellent. Stick with items made off site and you’ll do well.

Excellent experience at The Wine Bar. The atmosphere is cozy with great music, and the staff was friendly and attentive from the start. I tried the Tuna Nachos with Garlic Aioli and they were delicious fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

We really wanted to give this new place a chance. This is our third time back, we brought friends. Our first two times we enjoyed eating and tasting wines at the bar. Zach was an exceptional bar tender and took very good care of us. There were a few things off with the food , however we liked the wine flights, atmosphere, and the service so we gave it another try. Unfortunately after our last night experience, we will not be back. Our party was seated in the main dining room . We started with a very good tuna nacho platter and ended with a delicious Affogato, however everything in between was very disappointing. Our waitress was new and had very little training about the menu and meal order. She brought our soup, salads, and main meals out all together along with a returned drink order that was prepared exactly the same way; it might have been the same drink. My husband sent back his soup and I wish we sent back our salads. Our salads were drenched in dressing; like a salad dressing soup with wilted vegetables. My husband enjoyed his steak, however the three of us had ordered pan seared salmon which was really poached salmon without any seasoning. I had substituted wedge potatoes for rice and they were barely warm. The meal was very expensive, needless to say an underwhelming experience.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Killington. The food at The Wine Bar was outstanding, thoughtful, beautifully executed, and absolutely delicious. The wine collection is truly top tier, with an impressive depth and variety that will make any wine lover very happy. (We loved the Nebbiolo!)

The hospitality made the night unforgettable. Zach, the bartender, was charming, kind, and genuinely attentive; the kind of service that makes you feel instantly at ease. The owner also came over to welcome us personally, and his warmth and enthusiasm set the tone for the entire evening.

What really stood out was the atmosphere. The local patrons were clearly regulars who love this place, and the conversations flowed easily — it felt communal, relaxed, and joyful in the best way. Amazing food, incredible wine, and a truly great human experience. A real gem.

The food is fairly mediocre. In particular, the clam linguine was quite bad. It had a very strong sour taste. It almost definitely was canned clams as well. Nothing like the picture that the restaurant had posted on here (felt scammed tbh). The pork ravioli and wine were decent.

The waitress forgot things a couple of times (garlic bread and soup). We let her know about the bad linguine but received nothing but a forced service change of 18%. The forced service charge is very unique considering we were a table of 4 (other restaurants typically do this for larger parties >5)

Overall, I would not recommend coming here. You’ll be spending a decent amount of money for sub par food and service. Go to the Garlic instead (the wait is worth it to not eat here).

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I’m not sure if they are having an off night or someone is propping up the reviews/phots. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. Our waitress was new so this review is only based on the food. I will say that I don’t mind her getting the order wrong as much as her walking away after we asked her a question but never comes back with an answer. Now the food. It was horrendous. Not only did we get everything out of order (entree first, apps and then drinks), everything except for the tinned fish was bad. The men got burgers and said it was not good. My friend got the mushroom pasta and was mid. My salmon came last and was overcooked with frozen overcooked vegetable mixed into “wild rice”, instead of wild rice with a side of roasted vegetables. Oh and don’t get the deviled eggs. Wine was fine and tinned fish was good. Come for that only.

Not a good experience at all. The wonton tacos were served with tostitos and did not match the description on the menu. The wine selection was not good and what was ok, had to bought by the bottle. We got through the “experience” as quickly as possible so we could move on to a much better restaurant for dinner

This place seems like it used to be decent but we were really let down. So much potential here too! Still in the peak of ski season and management is so bad they were closed on one of the busiest ski days of the year with a sign on the door stating it was due to “lack of staffing” on a Saturday night. They opened the next day but the first 5 things we tried to order were out of stock, like others experienced. The serving staff doesn’t seem to know anything about the wine or the food on the menu. We heard the table behind us complaining similarly about their experience while we were discussing our disappointment privately. I recommend you avoid this place with so many good options just up the road. Only gave it a shot because our AirBNB was right next door.
Also – automatic 18% tip added for our party of 2 may explain the lack of enthusiasm for providing good service.

Perfect Après Spot with Amazing Wine & Service

Killington Café and Wine Bar is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes or snowmobiling. The cozy atmosphere, thoughtfully curated wine selection, and expertly paired charcuterie-inspired menu make it a must-visit in the area.

Our server, Joe, went above and beyond to personalize our experience, recommending wine pairings that perfectly complemented our dishes. His knowledge and enthusiasm made our visit even more enjoyable and memorable. I had the savory meatball dish, while my boyfriend had the hearty pastrami sandwich—both were flavorful, well-prepared, and paired beautifully with the wines Joe suggested.

If you’re looking for a warm and inviting spot with great food, excellent wine, and top-tier service, Killington Café and Wine Bar is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

Bonus: there was a locally-loved musician, Liz Reedy, providing the perfect auditory ambience. This place really is it.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience so others can make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, The Wine Bar in Killington was very underwhelming. The ambiance felt more like an outdated hotel buffet than a cozy or elevated wine bar experience. For a place positioning itself as upscale, the atmosphere missed the mark.

The portions were surprisingly small. The cheese and charcuterie board, in particular, was disappointing — just two small slices of bread and four crackers for the entire board, which felt disproportionate to the price.

The $40 steak was also very average and did not justify the cost. Overall, the value simply wasn’t there for us.

We were hoping for a memorable evening, but left feeling disappointed.
