Unfortunately we didn’t have the best time here. It started out great with the service and being sat to our table.
The poppadoms and dips were great.
Our starters were dry and the samosas seemed like they were frozen and the fried, very greasy. The paneer tikka was also overcooked and very dry.
Our mains were very tasteless for an Indian restaurant. My partner has a saag dish that was greasy and had little to no flavour. My ‘chef specialiaty’ dish that promised a depth of spices, tasted like burnt curry powder with tomato added.
We did not have any ‘check-backs’ and we weren’t even asked how our meal was after the fact, to let our servers know how our food was.

TLDR, we had both had positive experiences with this restaurant a few years ago, but unfortunately the food has become tasteless and the service lacking.

Visited the restaurant on Friday 14th February with my wife and 2 children. What a nice place to go for an Indian meal! All staff were very pleasant and food was exceptional.
As it was Valentine’s Day all the ladies were given a red rose. Very nice touch. Will be going back again 5* (edited sorry 14th)

Excellent food and refreshing drinks, chicken Jalfrezi was very nice, all food was piping hot and some dishes were bought out on sizzling hot plates.
I think Monday and Tuesday nights are buy 1 get 1 free.
Will definitely be returning.

Don’t think I’ve been to a restaurant around Leicestershire as amazing as this !!!
Staff were super super friendly, food was not only amazing but they kept it very traditional which I can understand how hard that can be. Not to mention the prices are really fair and worth every bit of this experience!! Deffo my first choice for fine dining from now own.

ordered for collection tonight. I did order a daal samba however, none of our vegetable dishes contained lentils, the tandoori chicken as well as all the other dishes are pretty bog standard curry house flavours – mild – with the traditional mass gravy that is used in curry dishes. garlic naan… had very little garlic on it.

somewhat over zealous in the food colouring for the tandoori chicken as well as the mint sauce. overall, typical Bangladeshi “indian” restaurant that you can find everywhere.

feeds the hungry traveller, so it has that much going for it.

Visited early on a Saturday evening, plenty of tables available. We ordered two vegetarian dishes – I requested a Vegetable Balti with chana, but ended up with no vegetables, just chana. Rice portion was tiny for the price. Wasn’t impressed with how a glass of wine is served – small plastic bottle brought to table and poured into glass for you.

The best Indian restaurant in Hinckley.
I have visited this restaurant +5 times during the past year and they consistantly deliver excellent food and great service.
Last night I visited with 3 colleagues and we all ordered dofferent items from the menu.
All dishes were served at the same time and everything was spot on. I am a big fan of the Naga curry – the chicken and the lamb are equally delicious!

Visiting from Australia and meeting up with friends from Balsall Common we were recommended this restaurant and what an absolute shocker of a night.
In such a beautiful village and the restaurant setting was lovely but these are the only 2 positives.
I’m not sure what type of Indian it was supposed to be but nothing I’ve ever had in India. Food was tasteless or overtly sweet – didn’t know there was ever an orange colored raita.
I had the tandoori mix and used the lamb cutlets to resole my shoes.
The worst Indian I’ve ever had

Visited for evening meal on a Thursday in July. Party of four, booked a table but restaurant wasn’t too busy so a walk in would have been possible. Important point to note, the restaurant doesn’t have a carpark so you’ll need to find a space on the nearby streets. Not difficult to do.

Food was lovely, service was fine. Ordered from the specials section of the menu but memory let’s me down so can’t remember what I ordered (sorry). But it was very nice and I’d have happily eaten another plateful.
