This place is hit or miss. I’ve had great meals here, & not great meals/service just the same. Suppose it depends on who’s working what day, but there is NO consistency with each meal. The earlier you eat, the better meal/service you’ll get.
They do have great Moscow mules, & mixed drinks. They also play most of the sports games & golf too.
If you ask you might be able to get their VIP menu. Crab legs were better than expected.

Food and service was great. Went here for our anniversary. Food is very pricey but wanted to spoil ourselves. Got the crab legs. Again, very pricey. I wouldn’t do it again but the size of the crab legs were not disappointing at all. Duck wings were amazing with the Korean BBQ sauce. And the steak was cooked perfectly. Definitely would come back again.

Went in on a quiet Saturday night. Had great service from Summer. She was very attentive, and was helpful with the menu. Started with the French onion soup, which was ok. Wasn’t as reach as I hoped it to be be. Crab cake was solid, but the horseradish sauce was very overpowering. We got the Porterhouse, and the Sicilian Chicken pasta. Porterhouse was cooked to my lacking, but lacked seasoning. Pasta was creamy, and chicken was well breaded, and crispy. Overall good experience, but did expect a bit more in terms of the food.

I go often with my parents. We love the shrimp scampi, the walleye and the salmon. The generous bread basket to start is really yummy! Especially the cranberry! Great salad to start as well, I recommend a combination of the French and blue cheese. I won’t bother to give my opinion about price because, here we are watching EVERYTHING increase. Some places are worth saving up for. Or! You could get lucky like we did and my mom won 4 times the amount of the whole meal for 3 people after dinner in the casino!
Always a treat to go to the Winds with ma n pa.

My wife and I have eaten at Winds Steakhouse a number of times. On Saturday, October 4, 2025 we drove up to spend a couple hours at Grand Casino and then finish off the evening by having dinner where we always bragged to others about how Winds Steakhouse has the best Ribeye steak ever. We did not have reservations, which was fine. The hostess asked us to “Step Aside” so they could seat everyone with reservations. While we were waiting, another lady walked up and said “We don’t have reservations” to which the hostess said “That’s okay, we’ll seat you right away.” The hostess then continued seating everyone with reservations and we then got to sit down. That did not make sense.

We were so excited to order the Ribeye and Au Gratin potatoes. In the past, the Ribeye was always filled with flavor, it was juicy, and super tender. Not this time. The ribeye was bland, chewy, and dry. The Au Gratin potatoes used to come in a small casserole dish and were amazing. Not this time. They were “scooped” onto our plate (smaller portion). The potatoes were crunchy, meaning they were not cooked completely, and it felt like the recipe had been changed. My wife’s French Onion soup was a 10/10 and the salad was just like we remembered, but again, something was not right with the steak and au gratin potatoes. Are they cutting corners and buying a lower grade of steak? Did the au gratin potato recipe change? And the prices . . . the Ribeye used to be around $35 and now it was $54.

We joked on the drive up that White Castle was still in town, and now wish we would have stopped there instead. Maybe we just had a bad cut of beef and the chef was not on his/her A-Game that night. Needless to say, the $155 we spent, plus the $30 tip is $185 I’ll never see again. I’m sorry for the negative review, but something is not right when a restaurant starts to cut corners, it shows, and unfortunately, we will not be back.

On a side note – the menu was super cool how it lights up, making it easier to read in lower light settings!

It was busy at 530 pm on a Saturday night and we only had to wait 20-minutes. Excellent food and service. Cassandra was our waitress who provided us good service and ideas for dinner. We don’t like Pepsi products and Cassandra added cherry to make it decent for my wife to drink. The steaks were cooked perfect with just the right spices. The ribs were delicious. We love the fact they have salt and pepper at your table and cloth napkins, unlike most restaurants. The restaurant was the highlight of our stay at the casino hotel.

It was very busy for a Wednesday . Neat way to get on wait list. They used your Cell to message you as to when table ready. We actually had our name on Grill wait list too. Easy to cancel thou. We had an appetizer and entree Walleye & Chicken Marsala. Both were excellent. We had a great server, Kathy, so attentive. Great service, great food, good price. It is May 8, 2019 and just finished the Chefs Tour. A great wine flight to compliment our food. Caprese toast, salad, steak with Manhattan sauce topped with scallop and marbled cheesecake. More great service.
It is 2020 and we do not do the chefs tour, but enjoyed our meal. I included the March tour as not on line. We had seared Halibut and sea scallops in white wine, cream. Bonappite.
It is 9/24/23 and we arrived at 5 pm when the Winds opened. We tried calling for reservations from our room but no luck. I am including reservation info.
We were greeted by Ricky E and told about it Chef’s Tour. We were excited about the menu and included a glass of Chardonnay. We were given our Chardonnay and a bread basket, yum. Our scallops Benedict came and it was fantastic. Kudos to the chefs. Next course cobb salad. Our main course Black & Blue Manhattan steak. That also had choice of potato, we chose cheese potato. Also a vegetable medley. Was just great. Now comes the dessert and winds split was amazing. Great waiter, atmosphere and amazing food. Keep in mind this is only available Wed,Thurs & Sunday. Menu changes monthly. Hope you can stop for this and make it a special evening.

We finally were able to come for July -4 course dinner. We brought friends. Four of us had 4 course and other 2 enjoyed menu items. Love there bread basket. We were so full that we got whoppie pie dessert to go. Enjoyed the food and friend.
Almost forgot the new light up menu. No more squinting

Food was average and nothing special. Drank my soda and found food stuck to the inside of the glass. The glass was obviously not clean. Disgusting. Beware of cleanliness issues here.
