You’ll find us slap-bang-in-the-middle of Winchester. Right on The Square with the Cathedral not far away. A couple of minutes walk, max. We love our charming little city. If you could bottle up the feeling of sitting by a nice warm fire after a long day’s work, this place would be it. We’re here bringing fresh, handcrafted sourdough pizza, alongside top-notch local ingredients, that’s light to eat and goes perfect with drink. Especially, our entirely British selection of West Country ciders and craft brews. Whether you’re out for lunch, celebrating with a few mates, or simply down for a break from exploring, we’ve got cosy corners and a charming interior that even Jane Austin herself would find it hard to deny the comfort.

Pros: festive pizzas were original and delicious, lots of vegan options. Cons: really bad service. I’ll try and remember everything that went wrong: had to grab the waitress’ attention to finally order. No mulled cider even thought it was 12.30pm on a Tueaday and part of their specials advertised on their festive menu, and they boast a wide selection of ciders. They brought us a bottle of still water insyead of sparkling, had to go to the bar myself to make the swap as no one was looking at our table. We had to wait 35 minutes after ordering for our food, even though we only ordered 2 festive pizzas and a kids’ menu. (Oh and the only vegan option for kids was a margherita with plant-based cheese, no additionsl veg topping) We had to ask the staff what was happening. Several of them were just hanging out chatting, on their phones or even eating a salad behind the bar (!) No reason was given for the delay even though we suspect they were busy serving a table of 10 adults + kids next to us. Kitchen must have been understaffed as when we ordered there were still several empty tables. They forgot to bring the veggie sticks for our toddler (again, I had to go to the bar to tell them)
They came to clear our table too early, we had to tell them that our child was still eating. They still took our plates away. The QR code on our table did not work so we could not pay that way.
Luckily there was no service charge on the bill.

Sam & Romilli were amazing and very attentive. I really appreciated all of their help with help with the menu & my food allergies (dairy & gluten). Probably the best gluten free pizza base I’ve had which is hard to come across. Very nice ciders to try (big fan). Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely meal here on Sunday, served by the lovely Ella and Reece! As coeliacs, we know the food here is safe and delicious gluten free pizzas and potato tots!! Delicious cider menu too, Ella and Reece couldn’t be more attentive and switched on when it comes to allergies (myself also having a nut and sesame allergy). Have frequently visited and will continue to visit The Stable for a guaranteed delicious meal! Thanks ☺️

Visited this venue for bottomless brunch on the weekend. Really happy with my experience.
Service – we were served by Lily and she was super attentive, explained how the brunch would work and made she our whole table always had a drink. She definitely made the experience even better.
Food & drink – was really impressed with the options offered here. I loved the cocktails too! The pizzas were so good however starters could be a little better. The tater tots need a little seasoning and some of them were burnt, nachos were cold and the garlic bread was a little dry.

Lovely food and services, we got the cheesy garlic bread to start which was lovely and then both got pizza which were also amazing, the pepperoni and hot honey is definitely a recommendation!

I sat here for lunch and it was a great experience. They were quite busy, so service was a bit slow, but the team were really kind and friendly.
The food was delicious! I really enjoyed my pizza, it was light and the toppings were great. They had a decent selection of pizzas for meat lovers, veggies and vegans alike!

Came for bottomless brunch, paid extra for cocktails, had loads of food 10/10. We had 5cocktails, 3 starters and a pizza each during our 1½hr reservation. STUFFED! Atmosphere is bustling but not too loud and overwhelming compared to the ivy in Winchester which is very loud and uncomfortable. It was a busy Saturday so the wait staff were very busy but still had time for us.
Would go again.
