Always loved the atmosphere of the Lion and Rose pubs, and this one still maintains all the same old world charm of it’s original.
The food is phenomenal- ordered the beer cheese dip (with fries and pretzels) and the chicken schnitzel to share with my wife. Portions were gigantic, more than enough for both of us and some to take home. Would highly suggest either again, flavors were superb and the chicken was incredibly tender. Didn’t even need a knife to cut it.
Our waiter was great, too. Cheerful, always made sure we were taken care of and kept the drinks coming. Place was clean, orderly, had the college games going. Couldn’t ask for more.

Ok spot for bar food. Pretzels for the beer cheese were hard. Schrooms were very oily and bread was hard. Burger was messy. Everything came out at once which defeated the purpose of ordering appetizers. Service was decent even though it was not busy when we got there

Went to watch a premier league game on a Saturday morning. The service was wonderful! Each booth had its own TV which the bartender so kindly put on the team we were there to watch. Oh and the breakfast was amazing. We will be back for some more Saturday premier league mornings.

I ordered the lamb burger and fries combo, while my mother chose the steak with mashed potatoes and a vegetable side. The chef, Dante, is notably skilled; despite my mother requesting her steak to be cooked medium well, he prepared it to perfection, making it taste exceptional. The drinks were also satisfactory, with a diverse selection of draft beers available. I am looking forward to returning to this establishment regularly.

We went on a Thursday and they had live music playing that was really nice and added to the atomsphere. Food was really good. The beer cheese was yummy but I liked it so much better with the pretzels wish there were more than four on the plate. Would for sure come back espically on Monday when it’s steak night. Downside they didn’t have it posted but there is an added fee for the use of credit card

HOWEVER; the food was soooo good
We got a combined order of 3 different appetizers and 2 entrees and everything was incredible and well presented too! Very picture worthy food! And it was a nice chill atmosphere as well !

Been here a couple times now and have been very impressed with the food and the atmosphere. The service has been spot on each time. I don’t think we have ever left hungry. The brunch is great if you have an opportunity. If you want to see some more go try and find the elder eats snippet on the place. I’d definitely recommend going if you have a chance.

They have a New York Strip steak Monday night special.. the steak was good but the veggies were to die for. I’m so glad I asked for gravy with my Mash po cuz they brought out musbroom gravy and I used it on everything lol, was so delightful. It was pretty dead in there that time, unlike the time we went and they had Star Wars playing that night. The bar was hopping then. I used to come when I believe it was The Lion & Rose. Only been 2x so far as The Winchester. The server/bartender was real nice and attentive. They had sports on for us, I’d go back. Plenty of parking around the back if none in the front, but i was kind of scared to park back there at night.
