We made a reservation for 7:45 PM, showed up on time, and still ended up waiting twenty minutes to be seated. The hostess was rude and prioritized people who jumped the line—there were clearly customers waiting, yet she helped others who cut in front. I’m not sure if they were short-staffed, but getting a table shouldn’t be that difficult, especially with a reservation made well in advance.

Parts of the restaurant have an upscale vibe; however, we were seated in the back room (which you can see as you walk directly past the hostess stand), and it felt more like a conference room with harsh, blaring lights. It was very uncomfortable. We almost walked out at that point, but after waiting so long—and having heard good things about the food—we decided to stay.

On the bright side, the food was beautifully plated and genuinely tasty, and our server was excellent. If it weren’t for the cheap atmosphere and the awful hostess, it could’ve easily been a 4- or 5-star experience. I won’t be back—not at that price. Chance it if you’d like!

For what it’s worth, there’s a restaurant three minutes away called The Victor that we tried the following day. Oh my goodness—what an amazing find. It’s pricey, but the service, food, and atmosphere were impeccable.

We lost at Chumash Casino — and honestly, we didn’t even care, because dinner completely made up for it.

The ribeye steak was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely perfect. Everything we ordered was incredible — the lobster bisque was so good I don’t even have words for it. The mushrooms, the mac and cheese… every single bite was a wow.

By the time we got to dessert, my daughter and I just looked at each other and agreed: this is the WOW steak place.

Truly outstanding food. Worth it 100%.

First off.. drinks came very slowly, my crown and Coke was very weak, I waited over twenty minutes to ask for another drink, I went to the bar, I asked the bar tender if i could get a drink, and he said, o what table are you at? I said the one w no server in sight, I asked again, can I have a drink, and he said I’ll send over your waiter. I asked politely, so I am not allowed to order a drink? I wanted to pay cash. He said no. So I go back to my table, received the crab cakes. Sour and gross w lots of shell fragments. Received the calamari, it is covered w greasy fried onions as an attempt to fill the bowl, onions made the calamari soggy. Then the main shows up, I got the highly recommended rack of lamb, you basically get two ribs of lamb w 4 bones that aren’t even cut apart, for a staggering 93 dollars, also, very overcooked, I was expecting the slightly red interior like the waiter had mentioned, mine was white and dry w very little seasoning. Then for my mashed potatoes. Only thing I enjoyed btw, you get the equivalent of 1 small lemons worth, very little, I had ordered the marinated mushrooms, they were by far the grossest thing I ordered. They looked and tasted like they had a bunch of red wine dumped on them and microwaved and finished w a hand full of green onion. The other three people I went w all had very low par food as well, a rating of maybe 3 out of ten across the board. I was celebrating my birthday last night . The waiter comes after the meal and asks if we want a desert menu. I look at the table right next to us and they were also celebrating a birthday and received a cupcake w a candle . I did not . For over 600 dollars, that was one of the worst food experiences I have ever had. If anybody takes the time to read this. Don’t go here. Literally everything I ordered was gross and and massively over priced.

Happily suprised by the experience here at the Willows. The pictures don’t do the place justice. The steaks are great. Better than Larsens and on par with high-end steakhouses. The garlic potatoes are delicious.

The service was great. Chris is a charming and attentive waiter and Cesar made sure our drinks were full the entire time. Both of them were fantastic and made the evening feel special.

Good food, good ambiance, and excellent service. You can’t ask for much more.

I made reservations for New Years Day. I was called the day of stating that my reservation had been combined with someone else, that I guess they thought I knew. I had no idea who this person or person were. I called to let them know I had no idea who the ppl that they were putting me with were not my friends. They reassured me that it was fixed after it took them a bit to find my reservation because it was put under another party. I get to the willows and again I was put with a different party and it was never fixed like they told me it would be. The service was horrible which was surprise Ly since every time we have gone the service was always excellent. Our waiter disappeared for a long period of time, we had to ask the front lady to give us our bill so we could leave. We waited for our waiter for 20 minutes and he never came to us until we were leaving. I know it was new years and it tends to be a little more busier, but prepare ahead of time for it. We were not happy when we left.

Alicia was very friendly and professional. She made excellent suggestions for both food and beverages. The atmosphere is quite upscale, but not off-putting – very comfortable. As for the food, it was prepared and presented wonderfully. We are already looking forward to the next time we have the opportunity to dine at The Willows.

I keep reading about dress code and actually at their site there is special notation about that, but I didn’t see any dress code on Friday Feb, 13th that w went for dinner, opposite I noticed guests with thorn jeans, sneakers, T-shirts and shorts, kids running around. If the host or Manager accepts any type of dress, then you should move the “Dress Code” from your web site. We had reservation for 7:30PM but we had to wait more than 15min.

Our most recent visit was surprisingly disappointing. First the drink I wanted was refused, as they couldn’t make a substitution for non-flavored liquor. Then, the drink she offered and assured me would not have solid fruit pulp in it came full of pulp. That honestly soured my mood enough that I decided not to try and order another drink. Then to really end the night on a low note, the server never brought me a dessert menu or asked if I wanted any; the others in our party had ordered the restaurant week special, which came with a dessert. Dinner had taken long enough by then, so I didn’t bother asking for a menu, as I didn’t want to make everyone else wait. Overall I’m just really disappointed, this was the first time the service here as been anything less than great.
