Brunch perfection was achieved at The Wilder in Portsmouth, thanks to Chef Emily & the team’s outstanding cuisine & beverages, paired with Oliva’s exceptional service. We began with a bold, savory Bloody Mary, garnished with dill, shrimp, bacon, & homemade pickles. The poutine Benedict with braised short rib was rich and flavorful, while my omelette with goat cheese, caramelized onions, & wild mushrooms, served with crispy hash browns & spicy sausage, was cooked to perfection. Every bite was flawless.

We met family for brunch on a Saturday at noon. There were six of us. I made reservations, but we would have been fine without. Our server Olivia did an excellent job throughout our service. Everyone enjoyed their food. The music was a touch loud for me, but we were still able to hear one another – that is the reason for 4 stars in atmosphere. By the time the entrees arrived, the sun had gone behind some clouds so the rest of my food photos did not make the cut for the review unfortunately.

We went for brunch and felt there was a limited menu, not much for gluten free options. Our table felt the fries and hash browns were average. Our oysters were good!! The waitress was kind and it was a very chill atmosphere. Definitely bar vibes!

First time here with my friends and absolutely loved the vibes, atmosphere and food. The food was absolutely phenomenal, pictured here is the Cheddar Cheese Pancakes and Fried Chicken—can’t recommend enough

This place is trash. The pour on a bourbon was half of what it should be. There were flies all around our table trying to get in our food. Landed in our drinks. My husband ordered the burger medium and it was over cooked. The gnocchi was SWIMMING in oil. First and last time visiting, sad because the menu sounds amazing but isn’t executed well. I emailed the manager weeks ago, on 11/16. They couldn’t even bother to respond. Would not recommend.
Owners response proved my point. We were pleasant in the restaurant, tipped normally despite the horrid food because it wasn’t the waitresses fault. Even she looked embarrassed to bring the food out. I emailed you privately not even asking for anything just to make you aware, but you never responded. Only when you are called out in public do you respond. I hope others sort by newest comments and read the owner’s responses to all.
It was a bison burger, not a smash burger. There is no way that was butter, I know the difference. $197 for garbage. I look forward to coming back to check on your reviews in a few months and seeing not only your score dwindle, but hoping to see “under new ownership” or “permanently closed”. You aren’t cut out for this business.

This may be my new favorite spot for cocktails. We got the Bazooka Jane and Well Of Radiance. OMG!!! So good. Sat at the bar and had an excellent bartender. Great service. Very warm and personable. Will definitely be back.

We went here for New Year’s eve. We sat down at 5:40 and ordered an espresso martini. We ordered within happy hour, but was still charged $13. Regardless, the espresso martini was great. When the server dropped our drinks off, we ordered. Our popcorn appetizer came soon after and within 3-5 minutes our two chicken sandwiches were ready. We didn’t have time to enjoy our appetizer. The chicken sandwiches were both cold. It was clear they were not made to order, and were most likely sitting out. Our meal felt rushed. Disappointing way to spend New Year’s Eve. We didn’t really even have time to enjoy ourselves. Our server was fine, but just felt rushed. The table next to us, who were on the older side—didn’t seem like they were being rushed, as they were still enjoying their appetizer as we were already finished eating. Not sure if I will be returning.

This was a fun find in Portsmouth. My fiancé and wanted to grab a bite to eat somewhere unique and this was it. It has good vibes walking in and the food/drink was delicious.
This place had one of the more unique drink menus I’ve seen. I tried one of their dill/pickle drinks. Even though I love pickles, that drink didn’t do it for me. But it was so creative so definitely work a try! I’d come back to try more things on the menu.

We stopped at The Wilder before a late dinner, so we just had cocktails. The bar was busy, but the service was pretty quick and very friendly. The cocktail menu was very unique, offering lots of fun options. We tried a few and found them all very tasty.

Stopped here just for drinks. Most of the items on their food menu didn’t appeal to everyone in my party. Kind of pricey for non alcoholic drinks.
