This spot had great food, and I landed up eating there two of the four days I was in town. I really enjoyed the Tom Ka Gai served in a large metal bowl with a a Bunsen burner to keep it hot. The papaya salad was good too, citrus and spice forward, but nicely balanced. The 24k Green Curry was a little sweet but I added extra fish sauce which made it very tasty. The mahi mahi was grilled perfectly. My ginger martini was great in concept, but I didn’t enjoy it. However, I requested ginger beer and converted it into a delicious Moscow mule. Five stars for sure, and I would definitely go back.

Very disappointed in the food at The Wild Thaiger!
Whenever I visit a new place, I check to see if there’s any restaurants that were featured on Diners Drive-ins & Dives. I was excited to find this Thai restaurant within walking distance from where I was staying. I went with a friend who was also visiting Phoenix. I ordered the pork dish from Guy’s show and it was mediocre. My friend got a chicken and eggplant dish. Her chicken was so dry that it was inedible, so she sent it back. And she is one of the most easygoing people I know! They came back with chicken legs that were thoroughly cooked but ice cold in the middle! So she sent the chicken back AGAIN! The eggplant was fine, so she kept that and told them not to worry about bringing more chicken but do NOT charge her for the meal. I was really optimistic about this restaurant, however because of the quality of the food I can’t recommend it and won’t be returning.

Our organization, Vietnam Security Police Association, was in Phoenix for a reunion and memorial dedication at Luke AFB. Prior to leaving for the trip I watched DDD, and Guy Fieri spotlighted this restaurant. As I was stationed in Thailand many years ago, I knew I had to visit. I was NOT disappointed. Although the menu did not allow for Thai Style cooking I was not disappointed. I had the Pad Gra Pao (Holy Basil) with beef, instead of chicken and Tom Kha Gai soup. I remember being at U-Tapao Air Base, in Sattahip and sweating as I ate the Pad Gra Pao. And the Wild Thaiger did not let me down. It was Phet Mak (Very Spicy). The soup was spicy. Just as it should be. It was great to taste some Singha beer again. My server, Pear, was fabulous and always checking. I did take some home with me and shared some with a fellow Thai Vet. I had planned to go back the next day but a medical emergency kept me busy with a brother. Trust me! We will be back in the area again and The Thaiger will be on my list.

Second time here and makes me wish that I lived here. Absolutely love the food here and Thai coffee. I actually had their Candy Chicken for lunch and it was the very best orange chicken I ever had in my life. Last time about a year ago, I had their chicken pad Thai and it was awesome. My uncle enjoyed his dishes both times as well. Friendly staff. We sat out in the patio last time and it was perfect weather. The bathroom was very clean and actually smelled nice. Large lunch portions. Every time I am in Phoenix I want to have lunch here.

Was in the area and this place was recommended to me and what a recommendation it was! Had the beef panang and it not only looked amazing, but had the taste to back it up. Great balance of spice and flavor, tender meet, and well cooked rice. Came with either a spring roll or soup – opted for the soup and it was a highlight for sure. Very full flavor with lots of different textures. Great experience!

This is a Thai restaurant that brings out their own favors to tradional Thai dishes. The prices are extreme reasonable and all the dishes are presented well. Lunch menu is a bargain for the selection offered.

The “Wild Thaiger” is resting on its laurels from being once featured in “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” some many years ago. Apparently, they still can’t get over it. They play reruns of Food Network shows on the TVs. Considering our experience, it’s actually kind of sad.
I ordered peanut chicken lunch but I couldn’t detect any flavor of peanut, whatsoever and the chicken was disgusting. The meager portion was way overcooked, to the point I could barely cut it. It was dry, hard and and almost inedible. My wife’s pad thai was not much better.
We made it a point to visit here based on its reputation and reviews. The interior of the restaurant looks like it hasn’t had an upgrade or a thorough cleaning in a decade or more. The furniture is banged up and scratched. You’ll find Guy Fieri’s pictures on the wall along with some late, great local notables. But this is a place seems like it’s become a shadow of its former self. We won’t be back. Judging from the fact that we were the only people in the restaurant at this particular time, which was a little past the rush at lunchtime in downtown Phoenix, aside from a table of six tourists we spoke to, others have made the decision not to visit again as well.

So me and my friend went here 7/28 around 3:30 and there was plenty of parking available, the food was delicious, and the service was also quite good. Both the portions, and the presentations were good. The flavor, and the freshness was there, and the drinks!! Let me tell you, their cocktail selection was surprising and superb. The drinks were rich in flavor, presentation and strong(-in a good way), and affordable. We were just overall impressed with this place. Me and my friend decided we may be back. So, if you’re looking for a place to have lunch before going back to work, or dinner or even looking for a place to celebrate an event this might be the place you want to try.

The dragon eggs were delicious I wanted to take a container of that sauce home it was so good! It’s located in phoenix They have plenty of parking in the back. Definitely a good place to hit up!
