I had the Southern Benny Bowl, and oh my was it good! The wicked sauce and homemade hot sauce were tasty too. Not only was the meal delish, but the service was top-tier. The gentleman who brought us our food was attentive and kind. He gave us extra sauce and sent us home with a smile. We will definitely be coming back! Wish I could have gotten his name!

✨WICKED IS GOOD!✨ I eat here 2, maybe 3 times a week for a delicious breakfast treat and let me tell ya, their sandwiches (really, all of their food) are hands-down the best I’ve ever had! Their staff is super friendly, they are accommodating to lactose intolerant folks and offer alternative creamers (not an extra charge for Almond Milk like most places) for their amazing cold brew! I give them 5 stars & 3 thumbs up! 🙂

A Hidden Gem with Delicious Breakfast!
The Wicked Egg in Libertyville is a fantastic find. While the area might be a little small and parking can be a bit tricky, the experience is definitely worth it. I went for my birthday and the breakfast was amazing – everything was delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves. A definite five stars!

This was billed as a 4.8-star breakfast spot, so we made a small detour in anticipation of something rather special.
The staff were undeniably friendly, which was the highlight. Seating is limited, and while the food is served with proper cutlery, it arrives in plastic containers — an odd mix of effort and economy.
The “crispy” bacon was, regrettably, anything but. A door chime announced every entrance and exit with such enthusiasm that it quickly became a reminder — every few seconds — that lingering was not encouraged.
When we cleared some plates to make space for finishing our coffee, the waitress assured us she’d take care of it… eventually. In the end, we did it ourselves — no drama.
All in all, perfectly acceptable, but not quite the destination breakfast the rating suggests. Pleasant enough, just nothing to write home about.

It was my first time to have lunch at the Wicked Egg and I must say that this is gem of a discovery in Libertyville. The staff were very congenial, solicitous, and very knowledgeable. The cashier was very thorough explaining the sources of their dishes which renders their freshness. She knows her products very well and helped me make up my mind of what to order because everything on their menu was enticing. We were not aware of their closing time at 2pm, yet we did not feel the pressure to leave because the staff were very polite as not to interrupt my conversation with my lunch date. The place was well kept, organized, and clean. I highly recommend the place and will definitely return.

First time here and the food was quite delicious. But the service was even better! Friendly, quick, and wanted to give us farm fresh eggs to take but we had a flight to catch. The gesture was very sweet and just shows the quality of this establishment and its staff. 10/10 would recommend.

I decided to visit after seeing many good reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The sandwich was decent, but the packaging made it a bit inconvenient to eat. The shop doesn’t have many seats, and the number tags weren’t organized well, so it was confusing to tell whether some tables were actually taken or just being held. As for drinks, I would recommend ordering something other than coffee.

Well, this place was a PLEASANT SURPRISE! Love the tongue in cheek sign out front and the cheerful and bold decor inside. Service was exceptional. Got to sample some fresh squeezed juices when placing my order and OMG. TO DIE FOR.
Ordered the simple bowl. Just scrambled eggs over cubed potatoes, with cheddar and avocado. Not sure it can get any better. You can tell the eggs are local and fresh! Coffee was good too.
Glad I found this place and can’t wait to go back! A+

This place is awesome! Their bagel and lox is unbelievably good. Had to get some fresh squeezed juice for the road as well. 10/10 recommend. The Wicked Egg has the best food in Libertyville. Everything I’ve ordered has been fantastic.

This is my boyfriend and I’s favorite place in libertyville!! We order from home and it’s always been ready when we walk over. All the staff has been incredibly friendly and go out of their way to greet us and thank us even when they are very busy. I always get The Classic bowl and he has tried many different items and has loved them all, especially the wicked sauce! The only place he wants to go everytime he visits from minnesota! Generous portions, I always have some left over for later and it tastes great reheated. I am gluten free and there are so many options and i have had zero issues so far. I am also very picky and the online ordering makes it easy to choose items removed/added/on the side. We are definitely lifetime customers!
