White Bull Tavern was a great time. I went with my cousin and her group of friends on a Thursday night, and the karaoke made the whole experience even better. The energy in the place was fun and lively without feeling overwhelming, and it was clear everyone was there to have a good time.
Karaoke added a great interactive element to the night and brought the crowd together—it felt social, upbeat, and easygoing. The atmosphere worked really well for a group outing and made it an easy spot to enjoy a night out during the week.
Overall, it was a fun experience and definitely a solid place to check out if you’re looking for something different to do on a Thursday night.

It’s a cool tavern in downtown Boston, great location near several attractions, shops and restaurants. Accessible by public transportation or by car, there’s a parking garage nearby.
Old Bostonian chic interiors, plus disco lights downstairs and red lights upstairs, also mirrors on the ceiling.
We visited on a Friday evening in winter, for a comedy show, it was fun. There were about 60 people, sufficiently big crowd for laughs but still feels intimate.
The atmosphere was pleasant and upbeat, the staff was friendly, service was good. We had pizza, salad and beer, all were pretty good.
I can’t give it 5 stars because the price was a bit too high ($110 for a couple, including the comedy and the simple food, not including parking) for just two hours.
Good experience overall !

The food was 5 stars! Diverse menu so options for everyone. Lobster rolls were delightful. Service was attentive. We chose to sit on the patio.

White Bull Tavern wasn’t our first choice, but all other places near by, were either too full or completely empty, so we compromised at this one. First time here, On Saturday midafternoon, place was almost empty on the first floor, but we took our chances. Menu is limited but both of our orders Skillet spinach Artichoke dip and Bacon Bourbon Brussel Sprouts came out very good. The pita bread was outstanding. Took a star off as they don’t serve fries, that we prefer when having a beer. Instead, they offered chips which was odd for us. As we sat there sipping IPA, we observed couple teen groups who came one after another on what appear alcohol tours, ordered one round of shots and left. Bartenders refused drinks offered by the teens, which we thought was cool since we have witnessed bartenders doing shots while working. However, bartenders ID only the person who ordered the drinks, not everyone in the teen groups. This was alarming and clearly in the violation of MA drinking age laws. The owners may have to enforce more strict ID policy or risk losing their liquor license.

We go to the White Bull often and are always impressed with the food and service. Between the owner and the service staff, we watch as everyone is treated as the most important patron there. The food is phenomenal (we recommend the dry-rub chicken wings, the buffalo chicken dip and the pizza), but it is the staff that make the experience the best part overall. We highly recommend.

We were seated right next to the front door. The bouncer kept the door wide open, and it’s February. So we moved to the bar, and we were scolded by the bartenders for some reason. Incredibly rude staff, awful atmosphere, wet and sticky menus. Left immediately after. Drinks are fine I guess

Came all the way from NY, always worth the trip for the white bull wings. Thank you for the service! Took 4 boxs home in a cooler. The only wings you’ll ever get with meat that falls off the bone. Its a must

Bar staff walked in on me while using the bathroom and then said some weird stuff. I’d stay away. Not a good vibe.

Bouncers have egos. It’s my birthday (12:30 AM on 1/11) and they refused to let us in. Said they were at full capacity (understandable) but we watched 20 people walk out and they continued to refuse our entrance—our business. While we stood outside the ~5’11 blonde guy was pointing through the door and saying “what’re they doing standing there?!” Disappointing service. We had a great time last year on my birthday but as of this year, the White Bull has lost our service. Do not recommend. Rude, unnecessarily stubborn staff. It’s giving petty high-school attitude.
