First time visiting. We started with the fried green tomatoes (of course!) The BEST I’ve ever had! I got the chicken fried chicken, golden mashed potatoes and garlic green beans with almonds. The chicken was AMAZING – the breading was crispy and delicious, the green beans tender and yummy, just a bit too salty. Hubby got the stroganoff with cajun chicken. He said it was delicious! And the side salad was what a sald should be – lots of leafy greens and loaded with all the goodness. I tried the blueberry margarita – was not a fan. A bit pricey but a nice treat. Great ambiance -inside and out.

We were headed home to Arkington, Texas and were looking for somewhere unique to eat and wet our whistle and we found it here! It was absolutely delicious! The mimosa flight was spot on and the pumpkin waffles and chicken was amazing! We will be back, just wish it was closer to our home. 5 out of 5 for sure! The atmosphere was relaxing, educational, and fun all at the same time.

Went last night for their $16 theme night The theme menu was Asian but they still offer their regular menu also. $16 for a nice meal and a salad is a pretty good deal in this day and age. The food was prepared excellent. I have yet to have a less than good to excellent meal there. To top it off they had live music there at 6 PM. Perfect for us old folks. Just a solo guitarist playing background music. It was really nice! They have a great atmosphere in an old building with a beautiful courtyard out front. If you haven’t tried this place yet I highly recommend you do so.

Atmosphere inside and outside was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was presented beautifully. I had the shrimp baja tacos which were decent but the slaw was dry and there wasn’t enough baja sauce to help so it was pretty dry. It either needed less slaw or more sauce. Prices were pretty high, roughly 16+ a plate for most meals.

Great food and great service. This place offers a unique dining experience. The menu has plenty of delicious options to choose from. I would suggest the brisket queso and chicken fettuccine alfredo. Lots of seating with fun plants and hanging lights inside and live music on the weekends. You gotta check this place out!

What a great find! The ambiance and decor were very welcoming. Space inside and outside available. I appreciate that the live music inside was a low volume so we could still converse during dinner.
Wedge salad 5/5! Perfection.
Croquettes 4/5. Great flavors but a little dry on the inside.
Pasta Bolognese 5/5. Lots of meat and cheese. Good portion.
Ribeye 5/5 perfectly cooked full of flavor.
Baked potatoes 5/5 the perfect baked potato does exist.
Sirloin 5/5. It arrived medium even though we asked for medium rare. Sent it back and the second steak was AMAZING. Perfectly cooked.
Great service and great management. Will come back often anytime we’re up at Cedar Creek

We found this restaurant while driving through Texas and now it’s a destination we will add if possible to every trip. Lizzie was our server and was super sweet, she provided a detailed description of the menu items and noted which were the most popular. We started with the Honey Sriracha Brussels appetizer and wasn’t disappointed. Portion was large enough for both of us to share and these were by far the best we’ve ever had. My wife and I both ordered their Fried Green Tomato BLT. New twist on a great sandwich which you could tell every ingredient was homemade and prepared to perfection. Chef Tori came to our table to receive well deserved praises on one of the best lunches we’ve had in years. The desert menu included homemade ice cream and Pies. We could not decide so we had the ice cream there (just like grandma used to make) and took a maple cheesecake and key lime pie to go (ate them as soon as we made it back to San Antonio). We will definitely add this stop when in the area.

We were in the area for the weekend and decided to check out The Whistlestop brunch. We had the country fried ribeye and chicken&waffles and we LOVED IT. And that sausage gravy was delicious
Excellent customer service and I enjoyed the inside decor.

Spinach artichoke dip was tasty. My husband loved the Ruben sandwich and the jalapeño ranch water. The apple car salad was also delicious. I had the lavender lemon spritzer and it was mediocre. The food was pretty good overall, I wouldn’t say it was outstanding. It seemed a little overpriced. Our waitress, Brooklyn, was awesome and the atmosphere was really cool. We would come back to try more menu items.

You walk in and want to love the place, the atmosphere is definitely inviting. Service was fast and friendly, but food was maybe Golden Corral quality.. maybe. Chicken fried steak was so salty it was unedible,
Salmon was fishy and overcooked, pork chops were overcooked/dry we’re ok covered in hot sauce, surf and turf 100 dollars by itself while meat was great quality and cooked properly, it was supposed to be 8oz saying it was 6oz would be generous looked like 4 to me
We spent $400 and won’t be back.
This is truly one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time, oh but the queso with brisket was good.
So if you want to drink a beer and eat an appetizer and enjoy a good atmosphere with good service this place would be okay.
If you want a good meal go somewhere else you will be disappointed in their kitchen staff.
