The cafe itself is very fascinating. It is full of antiques and items from the movie (it is after all where the movie was filmed). The good was good and the servers were very friendly. There are a few (5) gift shops and thrifty type stores to walk through with some cool items to look at. It is NOT a place I would take children.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today and had a really nice experience. There is a wait, of course, (for us it was 90 min), but it went by quickly because we explored the town for a bit after we signed in. We sat at the bar, which was comfortable and had ample room for each seat. Our server (I believe her name was Leslie) was very kind and attentive. The food was outstanding! I had the blue plate special short ribs and my husband had the country fried steak. We shared the pecan cobbler for dessert (and just about licked the bowl clean). We would not hesitate to return to the Whistlestop when we are in the area again.

This place is so nice for the nostalgia. We watched the movie the night before our visit. But, we waited 1 hour after we were seated before we got our food and we were only the 7th party to be seated, and we were at a large table. (You would have thought they would get us out of there fast since there was a huge line of people outside waiting and they would need to get more people seated.) they probably could use some extra staff there because it would take a long time to get refills or things that were missing off the table. Food was average but not bad. I don’t think I would go again but it was a very nice overall visit for the nostalgia and fun of all the details they have from the movie and a cute quaint town that feels like it’s from the movie set. One of the owners (I think?) stopped by our table to welcome us. It was very sweet. Nice details around the restaurant relating to the movie. It was a really nice visit. I would recommend you go if you’re looking for the connection to the movie.

Everything was so good! The food was amazing and the service even better. It’s just like the movie and they even have Bennetts truck parked outside next to the restaurant. Just fyi, you get a lot of food. We got the sampler and that would have been enough for two or three folks alone. The hamburger was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Like you were at the movie it self. Food was great and our server was great. The street this place is in has shops you need to walk thru. We’re from SC and plane on another trip one day soon.
Prices were reasonable. There is a line, you sign in yourself on a paddle and the hostess checks it and seats accordingly. Good menu options to choose from.

You don’t have to love the movie #FriedGreenTomatoes to love the #WhistleStopCafe, but it might motivate you to drive 2hours to eat there. Even at 2:15, there was a wait. Bustling on Indigenous People’s Day, the staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. They genuinely were grateful for the customers.
I got two apps, onion rings and of course fried green tomatoes. Both tasted great, and met my expectations. The fried green tomatoes stayed hot for several minutes.

Then, I got #BennettBBQ (IYKYK). The Q was served on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. Literally the best pulled BBQ sandwich I’ve ever had. I couldn’t like it enough.

This was a totally great experience. And the food was fantastic, large portions and not expensive at all. Well worth the price. And historical very interesting. If you have never seen fryed green tomatoes you’re missing out on fantastic movie and if you have it will still be worth the time and trip.this is a must see for young and old alike.

Had to visit the whistle stop cafe while here in Juliette Georgia. Great country fried steak with buttery mashed potatoes, and flavorful green beans. The service was prompt although extremely busy. I guess others wanted to stop and have fried green tomatoes, which were perfect. Very nostalgic eating here and reliving the movie.
