Stopped into Whiskey Barn on a Thursday before a concert hoping for a good cocktail and a bite to eat. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and nachos, but honestly the pricing didn’t match the quality. The Brussels sprouts were just okay, I would have preferred them a bit crispier and the nachos were pretty underwhelming with very little cheese and I really wasn’t a fan of the brisket we had on them,, which left me disappointed.
The cocktails were average. My daughter really enjoyed her Caesar, but my gin cocktail was only fine and not worth the cost in my opinion.
The service was friendly, but I noticed our drinks sitting at the bar for quite sometime, while the staff chatted, even though the place was fairly empty. Overall, it might be a decent spot for a younger crowd or a post-game hangout, but it’s not somewhere I personally plan to return.

The staff were awesome. Service was fast and friendly. Food was top quality. Sausage is great. Sauces are tasty. The ghost pepper pineapple sauce is hot, but the pineapple taste cuts through the heat to finish nicely. Mac and cheese was better than average. Cornbread muffin kicked ass. You HAVE TO TRY THE PICKLES. Ribs were the only part of the meal that didn’t impress me. Still good but not great. Pecan pie to finish is always a good choice. I’llbe back.

We went to Smoke last night for supper before the Rivalry Game. We were seated promptly but right at the front door so I was very cold as a chill would pass through everytime the door opened. This was why I rated the atmosphere only at a 3. Our waitress did move us as I was very uncomfortable and shivering so that was better.
We had the Notorious PIG and the platter for two and the cornbread. Both were very good and decent portions. The potato salad was killer but the coleslaw was very strange. It had a heavy citrus flavor or maybe too much apple cider vinegar. It was not very good. Overall, we enjoyed our meals, our waitress was pleasant and would come again.

Smoke BBQ + Bar in Edmonton is an absolute gem, especially if you’re looking for amazing deals on a Sunday; they’re truly worth it! The food is phenomenal: the smoked pork ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, the chicken is perfectly juicy and flavorful (esp. the maple bourbon and ghost pepper pineapple sauces), and the corn muffins are the perfect sweet and savory side; I’ve been here a few times and it certainly does not disappoint.
What really elevates the experience is the service. Victoria W. is exceptional; efficient, attentive, and friendly, making the whole visit smooth and enjoyable.
If you love great BBQ, fantastic deals, and top-notch service, Smoke BBQ + Bar should definitely be on your list!

The cocktails were a highlight: well-crafted, balanced, and perfectly suited to the laid-back atmosphere. Presentation was simple, which felt right for the venue. Three of us opted for the half rack of ribs, each with different rubs and sauces. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Habanero Tequila sauce.
Sides were decent, though my Caesar salad leaned heavy on the dressing and the pickles were okay. The food arrived on metal trays, which fits the smokehouse aesthetic, but the overall presentation could use a little extra flair.
Located in the heart of the arena district, Smoke is a prime spot for pre- or post-game dining—just be sure to book ahead on event nights. Brisket was juicy and tender; some of the briskets I’ve tried elsewhere were dry. The cornbread muffin was good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the Sunday 50% off meat deal .

I booked a reservation through their online system (which reminded me not to take too much time at my table) only to be met with a seat yourself sign that was just knocked over against a podium and not displayed. I ordered a diet coke and it tasted awful. My waitress was no where in sight for quite a while so i had to go up and bother the bartender and he let me know that the diet coke has’nt been working right and someones coming to fix it this week. I wouldn’t have ordered it if i had known. I will say the brisket and ribs were good and the seasoned fries were yummy. However i got sent cold chicken with clearly straight out of the fridge bbq sauce plopped on it and then the replacement chicken was still just lukewarm inside. My second waitress (shift change) was really nice and had a great attitude and took the chicken and the beverage off my bill and apologized for the issues. The website for this place makes it look like a cute place for a date night and more like MEAT if it was a nice bar restaurant downtown. However it is very much a divebar that just looks like a nicer place online. The washrooms being open to the rest of the bar with only stalls and a room divider thing was very offputting also. I could hear the conversation the bartender and the men sitting at the bar were having clearly from inside the ladies room stall. I for sure wont be back ever.

Went in here the other day due to desperation because we had a huge group and it was pouring rain. The were able to accommodate our large group because it was empty in here on a Saturday night. All of their drinks were very ‘fancy’ and all had rosemary and herbs and aged and smoked liquor which is not my vibe. I asked for an amaretto sour which wasn’t on the menu but is a fairly standard drink but they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. The drink I did get they set on fire which was cool at least. My friend ordered a shot and the server forgot about it. The booths are a bit torn and worse for wear. Based on this experience I would not come again.

The food is great if you like bbq. The Smoke Burger and Mac and cheese are amazing. The service is excellent. Our server Cora was professional, friendly, and knew the menu well. Great place to stop if you’re going to Roger’s Place but otherwise the parking is brutal like everywhere else downtown.

I was in Edmonton for work suggested to my colleagues that we try this BBQ place. When we got there we met Christopher he was very friendly. Christopher provided us with suggestions on what to order and drink. Let me tell you, Christopher did not steer us wrong. Everything he suggested was amazing. We had such a wonderful time. He even kept us entertained. My colleagues weren’t sure at first, but they all agreed this was a fabulous choice. When we are in Edmonton for a conference again we will definitely go back. I just really want to thanked Christopher for an amazing experience. You’ve gotta
