I came down from Chicago as a tourist. I have never experienced fried sliced mushrooms till I got here. I don’t think I could ever go back to whole mushrooms. The batter was so light and flavorful that’s including the onion rings. I originally got the garlic cheese carts. They were so delicious that I ended up ordering later on in our meal the spicy cheese curds. A spicy cheese curds Will creep up on you and the heat will stay with you but in a good way and not as a punishment. I asked the waitress about the batter and she had said that everything is battered by hand. Before I go onto our main meal, I have to rave about the ranch! Thick tangy housemade; I wanted to take this back to Chicago. The Warf Burger was delicious but the Canadian bacon put it over the top and the grilled onions were a touch of perfection. The mashed potatoes was a bit basic but that gravey was absolutely fire! The buffalo chicken horseshoe was thick! So much cheese (who’s complaining?)! The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. The buffalo sauce was a great contrast with all that cheese. They serve Pepsi drinks.

I went to this restaurant for a special occasion. I have never been there before. The outside of restaurant is okay looking but what is important is the good, service, and atmosphere. The inside was a little cute. It has a nautical theme. It also had a cozy atmosphere; not stuffy and formal but casual. When we all sat down it took awhile to be seen by a waitress. That was fine. We finally got our drinks ordered. I did order one cocktail and it was NOT good at all!!! The we ordered appetizers, fried mushrooms and cheese curds. The fried mushrooms were good but cheese curds were okay. I ordered the maple bacon and onion burger with fried and onion rings. The burger was okay, bland in taste. Fries were good and so we’re the onion rings. The waitress did keep up with our drinks, but she was uninterested and lack of personality or care showed. She didn’t check to see how we enjoyed food or make comment on our special occasion… Overall, I was unimpressed. It meal was over$100 for 3 people. Yes we bought two alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, and 3 meals. So not super expensive but it was costly for mediocre meal. I was excited to come here and it was a little of a let down with the whole experience. I have pictures of the food and will try to add if later.

We had a lovely meal at The Wharf in Decatur, located behind a gas station by the post office. I’ve had this restaurant on my must-try list for a while now, as I always enjoy venturing out on road trips to discover new dining spots. Upon entering, you get to choose your own seats, and there’s a cozy fireplace in the center of the restaurant to keep you warm during the winter months. Our waitress was super friendly and efficient, and our food arrived promptly. I opted for the fish sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, especially when paired with their unique and tasty tartar sauce. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meals, and we will definitely be returning to The Wharf in the future. A great dining experience overall! #bucketlist

Love places like this!! Was so excited to try the food and was not disappointed. First off, they have Pepsi for all us Pepsi Lovers. The Chicken Liver Appetizer is awesome. Everything we ordered was great. Walleye, Catfish, country fried steak and the burger. Definitely going back next time we in Decatur.

It’s a hole in the wall bar, and I love those. Very busy but the wait staff found time to be calm and collected even though they were getting slammed. Waitress was so nice, had recommendations and didn’t even write our order down, she remembered it! Great beer on tap, nice atmosphere, good food! I’ll be back, I got wings and a side salad. Thanks guys!

Had the chicken liver appetizer (wonderful), the catfish sandwich, and the bourbon horseshoe with hamburger (all wonderful). The bourbon horseshoe was especially good. Never had the combination before so I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful flavors! We would go back in a heartbeat! We took or fur babies and sat on the patio. Also had drinks so that added to the bill.

This place is SO MUCH MORE than you’d expect from its exterior. The food was excellent. I brought a pretty persnickety chef with me and he was wowed by their seafood. My sister insists they have the best chicken livers in the Midwest.

The burger was good and service was fine but this was the $3 side of fries my friend and I each received with our order. I asked the waitress about the portions size and she said that’s what the kitchen gives out and that it’s weighed out prior to ordering. For an extra charge there should be more than this amount.

Great food, great service both times we’ve been. We sat inside for dinner and outside for lunch another time, both times service was quick & they were friendly.

I was a bit apprehensive when we entered, but this was a case of “don’t just a book by its cover”. I knew my husband had picked a winner when I ordered the broccoli salad as a side and our server asked “did she make more broccoli salad”? Just knowing that the salad hadn’t come out of a carton was a big plus. My husband got fried fish and fries (I can’t remember what kind of fish) and it was delicious. I got grilled catfish and it was also delicious. Our baked potatoes were steaming hot and fresh. You can tell this place definitely has a “Cheers” atmosphere. We will gladly add The Wharf into our regular rotation when going to Decatur. Highly recommend.
