Enjoyed our first visit back to The Whale since its grand opening. Owners did a great job . Indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone. We perched at the top level and listened to live music while sunset was happening. While the staff could have been more engaging, they were quite busy. The smoked fish dip and the grouper sandwich was very satisfying albeit on the pricey side. The wall art was well done throughout. They had heaters for the open spaces (cold evening). It had always been a mainstay on the island and we were glad it finally opened and seems to be thriving. The downside is they do not offer hardly any parking on site and you are forced to use pay parking across street.

Pretty good food and drinks. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend getting the cheesesteak with the cheese sauce on the side to dip your fries in. My wife requested additional dressing for her salad because it was lightly dressed. The waiter was very friendly and personal. We will be back.

Great experience overall. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, which is always a plus. The drinks were good and fairly priced. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was perfect, not too thin or overly thick like some places do. Everything was just right. Would definitely come back.

Incredible experience! If you are a buckeye, then you are gonna love this place. The bar top is shaped like the block O. Tons of TVs. Three stories of lively activity. Menu is limited, but the food is excellent. I highly recommend the fish tacos and the brussels sprouts.

What a beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Waited downstairs for a half hour to be seated in dining room on the third floor for sunset views.
Dinner were ok. Order Chicken Alfredo, but it accidentally came with no chicken. Quickly solved and delicious.

Dellanie was so professional and awesome and full of smiles. I really enjoyed my appetizers. The mahi fish dip was really really delicious and the the shrimp/corn cream soup was really good also. Very very delicious

1st time back since reopening after hurricane Ian. Our server, Gloria from New Jersey was fantastic! Excellent service and super nice! Checked on us often. Food was outstanding! We ordered the Biscayne Fish Tacos and the Carribean Shrimp and two sodas. Excellent!!! Sat on the lower level in the bar area, great spot out of the sun and for people watching! Overall great experience, we will definately be back next timee we are here. (Wisconsin is home)

The Whale is back and better than ever. The food was delicious, the drinks were strong (just how they should be), and the atmosphere was great. You really can’t ask for much more. It’s located right across from the ocean, so the beach vibe is unbeatable. So glad to see them open again after the hurricane damage, definitely worth stopping in and supporting them. Highly recommend.

So glad this place came back and is pumping out the same great food and fun beach vibes. 3 levels of restaurant to pick from and all were done so beautifully. 3rd level is currently only appetizers and drinks, which we opted for. Wings were outstanding, and Abbi and Delanie were great server / bartenders. Shuffle board downstairs is a plus!!
