My boyfriend and I are hiking the American Discovery Trail, and several locals in Brainard recommended that we eat at The Wetlands Bar once we arrived in Rising City. There, we met Danika, our server/the manager, who is really nice and let us try a sample of the Dorothy Lynch sauce since it was our first time having it. I got the chicken strips and my boyfriend got the salad. The food was delicious and, while we ate, Danika came and sat with us. We all just chatted like old friends about our hike and various things. We told her that we had been in a sort of chain of restaurants recommending us to each other over the past few days, so she continued the chain and recommended the Shelby Food Truck in the next town over. Great experience, thanks for having us!

Excellent Wings multiple different flavors and they were a real size wing and leg. Very pleased with the food service is excellent but definitely come back I was just passing through as I drive truck and my delivery was at a dairy farm down the road. I have my son with me and we’d like to stop at least once for a sit down meal it was excellent he ate all his food as well. We’re definitely come back if I’m ever in the area.

Went late night so there was no food, however they had such an amazing vibe going on in there! Warm and friendly locals, good drinks at a great price. This is a real come as you are kinda place.
They also do events such as Karaoke. I’m not usually a Karaoke person but just seeing how happy and the general vibe of the crowd I actually got up and sang a tune, after a couple of the locals that had befriended me at the bar offered to go up with me.
All and all if you’re in the area you should drop on by. I’m glad I didn’t pass up the chance and if I get the chance I most surely will again.

Stopped in from out of town at 1pm on a Saturday. Kitchen was closed, but I found that out after we sat there for 30 min waiting. It took me to ask the bartender/waitress to find this information out. She didn’t seem to have the personality to be on the customer service side of the workforce. The locals (customers) that were in there watching the Husker game were way more pleasant and inviting. We walked down to the gas station on the edge of town and had way better service (and food). Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy a possible “hidden gem”.
