This place it’s such a gem. It’s cute and romantic, with gorgeous views of the river. The food it’s simple and the menu it’s small, but everything it’s well thought and made fresh and super delicious. Highly recommended. The pictures are from a wine dinner they hosted. The quiche was breakfast.

Super cute inn, staff was also very welcoming. They have a cute dog named Lady. Rooms a spacious, mattress is pretty firm, no TVs in rooms which I enjoyed. They have a common room with a tv there. The breakfast was delicious ( got the omelette) but coffee was more like hot flavored water. The view from the dining area is absolutely gorgeous and gives on the river. Would definitely come back!

Love the location and the charm of this old Inn. View of the river and the sound of it rushing by at night was soothing. Standard breakfast, quiche was good. Did not get a chance to try the Inn for dinner. The menu looked good.
Our host was gracious to let us change clothes when we arrived really early for a wedding.

Our stay at this is a charming, family-run inn was delightful. The innkeeper was clearly busy but very attentive and friendly. We stayed in the annex and it felt like we had stepped back in time to the “motor lodge” era, in a good way! The beds were very comfortable and sleeping next to the babbling river was so restful. We had a delicious breakfast (included with room) in a lovely dining room that overlooks the river. I can’t wait to go back for another stay!

Eating dinner here, with my wife for the first time. Ummm. WHY HAVEN’T WE EATEN HERE BEFORE!?

The food is delicious, the service is wonderful AND the music (which is important to me at least) is spot on.

It’s fantastic, truly a North Country gem in the woods. I can’t recommend it enough.

Amazing food. The atmosphere is beautiful, like you are walking inside grandma house and she’s ready to cook for you. Delicious food and Greta service

Beautiful garden, a river view from the restaurant, we sat down the menu was small but had a little bit of everything, now this was 5:30pm on a Sunday an they were out of half the menu after choosing my third appetizer since the first two they didn’t have I ordered the lentil “soup” an my third entree of pasta with scallops an a garlic cream sauce, the “soup” came out an let’s just say it was more of a lentil paste the flavor was amazing just really thick an I was unable to eat it. My husband got the Atlantic salmon an couscous the salmon came out raw the first time so he sent it back an had it cooked more an he liked the flavors just the couscous was dry my pasta came out dry so I asked for a side of sauce the waitress seemed very upset an had never asked us if we wanted another drink the whole time so we just drank water that was on the table. The bill came, and we got charged for the so-called soup, and no manager came over to apologize for any of the raw food.the charcuterie was beautiful but again dry seems like everything was left uncovered or left out we will not be returning.

Love this sweet friendly charming place. Great view amazing food and drinks. The owner really cares and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. There is even a bunny to greet you named Simon and he is super friendly. The food and the sounds of the river will keep you coming back this place is for vacationers and locals alike!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Mount Washington Hotel, but I honestly think the food is very subpar for a purported 4-star hotel. I found this lovely spot searching Google, and we both were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. We were the only customers for the first part of our time there, sat in a very lovely, homey dining area overlooking a stunning river with gorgeous late afternoon sunlight trickling in. Our waitress was great, attentive and the food we had was plated so nicely and tasted delicious. I made a mental note about the fact there are rooms to stay in on-site because I think The Wayside Inn, by far, trumps Mount Washington Hotel in every respect!
