A terrific lunch recently will bring us back to the Waypoint. Delicious clams, fresh salad, perfectly cooked burgers and a wonderful atmosphere. Enjoyed the new bartender who accommodated our short time frame happily.
I’m reading the harsher comments and suggest they needed a minute when they opened to sort it all out. And they have for sure sorted it out. Excellent.

Second year coming to Chaumont for ice fishing with friends. Found the former Blue Heron had new owners and was now named the Waypoint. Much like the previous establishment the food and staff are excellent. Will always be our go to place when we visit.

We had takeout for 4 of us. The food was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. We had sea base, haddock, calamari, the pear salad and a burger and fries. We will be back. The owner and staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Came here with 3 people and quickly realized the service was not at all fast. Took 10 minutes for them to just take our drink orders and another 5 to receive said drinks. They clearly could not even handle small crowds. We were the first ones outside to place our orders and still managed to get them last. Waited for over an hour to receive the wrong order. Ordered a haddock sandwich and received a burger? Fries were completely uncooked and cheap. Received chips in one of the meals and there were only about 10 chips. Another sandwich that was ordered had the complete wrong bread, no tomato’s, and cheap processed chicken that was disgusting. Also said that they were out of coleslaw but then changed their answer and said they only served coleslaw on fridays? Did very little to refund us in some sort of way. Terrible service. Will not return.

There were 4 of us eating. I realized they just opened and were not prepared for so many people who showed up. There were only 2 women waiting on tables. You could tell our waitress was just learning. The menu was extremely small for lunch. We decided to all order salads which should have been quick. We literally waited 2 hours for our food. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

This place is absolutely amazing the hot roast beef sandwich that they had for special for Tuesday 10/28/25 was the absolutely best sandwich I have ever had the roast beef was so flavorful and tender and the gravy was amazing cant rave about it enough 🙂 wish they could put it on there menu full time yes that good:)

We had a party of about 10. The place has a nice patio atmosphere.
The food, for most at the table, was disappointing. Many ordered the PO Boys which were not good tasting. The burger came out on the rare side. The ginger scallops salad, the scallops were good, but it was just on a bed a of lettuce, which was disappointing, should have been more items in the salad.
The menu was limited because there full menu wasn’t available yet due to lack of inventory and staff to offer it. It’s as if they rushed the opening without being fully prepared to serve and offer what was on their full menu.
The time to order and to receive the food was about an hour smh.
Hopefully they will get on track and correct their problems.

Food has been great. I have now been 3 times since the opening and have brought family and friends each time. We have all equally enjoyed it. Will be back soon can’t wait to try the crab legs and lobster roll!
