The Waverly Local was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t realize they had a restaurant with food of such high quality. The place has a nice ambiance, and the service is excellent. It’s on the expensive side, but you feel great when you leave. ..must try, the pimento cheese and the okra wrapped in bacon.

Food was absolutely fantastic. We had the brunch buffet on Sunday. Everything was fresh and delicious. Wide variety for everyone. Plus they had some live music. My wife said she would drive from Birmingham to eat here.

We had dinner there last night with two other couples and everything was incredible. I had one of the best steaks I have ever had. Everyone at the table raved about their food. Best of all the service was awesome. Our server, Dana, knocked it out of the park. I have eaten a lot of dinners at many fine restaurants and this one had to rank in the top five. What a great place and its just a short drive from Wedowee. We have enjoyed their Sunday Brunch before and never have been disappointed. Ask for Dana, she’s the real deal.

I stumbled upon The Waverly Local while searching for a last-minute spot for me and my closest buddies to grab dinner after a long day of golf on my bachelor trip — and wow, it turned out to be one of the best finds ever.
The place had it all: live music, an amazing atmosphere, fantastic service, and food that was absolutely irresistible. All ten of us loved it, and my friends kept dapping me up for finding such a gem. About half of our group went to the University of Arkansas, and when we called the Hogs in the middle of dinner, the crowd absolutely loved it.
To top it off, a local Auburn fan who overheard our celebration surprised us by buying the entire table tequila shots — a gesture that perfectly summed up the warm, welcoming spirit of this place.
If I lived nearby, this would easily be my go-to spot. Incredible food, great energy, and genuine Southern hospitality. Thank you to everyone at The Waverly Local for an unforgettable night. Cheers!

The atmosphere and bar are great. However their bourbon drink with apple butter in it was undrinkable. The martini was okay. The apps and bread were fine, but the shrimp and grits were terrible. The shrimp was covered in bbq seasoning to the point that it was gross. My stomach hurt for a day after eating it. The coconut cake was okay, but it was very dry and tasted like it had been frozen and thawed. Not moist at all like a good coconut cake should be. Overall the price is too high to be serving food and drinks at the quality they are serving them. I would expect much better when paying those prices.

A classy restaurant nestled in a charming small town. The atmosphere is elegant, and the service is exceptional. While the food is on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth the experience for the quality and flavors. The only minor suggestion I have would be to dust the bathroom vent, as it could use a little attention. Thank you for a nice evening dining experience.
