I wanted to give this place a fair chance, since their current rating is so low based on only one review. So I stopped by for lunch today.

The place was absolutely dead, and I don’t just mean zero customers, but also zero employees. Sign said “open”, though, and the lights were on. So I called out “hello”. No response. I called out again repeatedly over the next few minutes. No response. I decided to give the place a call, hoping it would buzz the owner’s cell. The phone behind the counter rang until I got voicemail.

Finally, as I was about to give up, I saw a girl standing in the kitchen, looking at her phone. “Hello,” I called out to her. No response. I thought maybe she’s deaf, or listening to music? “Hello,” I called out twice more. Finally she looked at me, walked to the counter, and asked to take my order. I explained that I’ve been waiting here, but she didn’t apologize. Hands down, rudest customer service ever.

I ordered a wrap with no cheese and a side of pasta salad, paid, and a few minutes later she brought the food out to my table, I said, “thank you.” She didn’t reply. I thanked her a second time, and finally I got a response. Why this girl thinks customer service is her calling is beyond me.

I dug into the pasta salad only to realize it has cheese. Now when a guy orders a wrap with no cheese, you’d think to warn him that the pasta salad has cheese, right? Not this girl. I asked her if the pasta salad has cheese and she said “yep” without even registering that it could be a problem. I tried to explain that some people can’t have cheese, and she gave me the most irritated and sarcastic “I’m sorry!” you can imagine.

Aside from that, the food is okay. It’s very much like a premade lunch from H-E-B.

Overall, 0/10 NOT recommended. And I wish I could revoke the tip I paid out of habit.
