Tacos SO good! I get the chicken waffle taco it’s so yum my go to! I am not vegan but really enjoy all the treats they offer! Oreo cookie taste just like a Oreo. Lavender latte is delicious. Tried the ice cream for the first time was also very good!

This place is on my commute to take my kiddo to a sitter so I decided to stop in since they were open. When I got there a little before 9am I was the only guest and the employee came out quickly to greet me. I was surprised at how few breakfast options there were in the bakery case. I got the cinnamon rolls simply because it was that or cookies. Yes, they have a menu, but I needed something to go.

Anyway, quick transaction, they don’t take cash FYI which was fine but just so others are aware, and I left with my cinnamon rolls. I got home (all of 8 minutes later) and I have to say, I’m pretty bummed.

The rolls were pretty hard and crumbly. Crumbly I can forgive since I know my gluten free baking can be like that, but the toughness, it was like eating a dense shortbread cookie, not a roll. The frosting was fine but even only using a small amount ALL I tasted was sugar, like, sugar overdose. I know I got a cinnamon roll, yes I expect plenty of sugar but between the hard texture, the grittiness and the sugar, I’m not a fan. Considering at almost 9 am they were still baking more things (that’s what the employee said) which was why they had so few options, I’ll likely not go back because I really don’t want that much sugar in breakfast.

I went to Water Bar in Geneva this week. While deciding what treat to choose, I enlisted help from the employee who was eager to help. She told me the cookies were fresh that day, while the other items were made a couple days prior. There was one tiny cake that was 12 bucks. Too pricey for me-esp if it was a couple days old. Isn’t that what “day old” discounts are for? I choose a cookie for 5 bucks. It was a decent size and the container was nice. The cookie was bland and I don’t know what the dollop of icing is, but it had very little taste. The biggest problem I had was that I had just come from the gym and wanted to know how many calories each item had. The employee felt bad but said she had no idea. Crumbl Cookies (chain) often have 600+ calories for one cookie so I would never go there. Health conscious people usually pay attention to nutritional details. I did not eat more than half the cookie because I had no clue what I was eating and it wasn’t delicious. I don’t spend an hour at the gym to eat bland or blindly. The floor also needs a proper cleaning. I could visibly see pieces of cookies, fries and shoe footprints on floor-and it hadn’t rained for days. That floor should be washed daily and swept multiple times. I was the only person in there, so it would be easy to keep the floor far cleaner.

My daughter has an egg allergy and a severe nut allergy. I am so thankful that The Water Bar created the best tasting cake I have ever tried that also suited my daughter’s needs. I have tried other egg free cakes that were no where near as good tasting as their cake. The cake was moist, not overly sweet, and just perfectly balanced over all. The owner was wonderful and they were responsive when I reached out. I will definitely order more cakes for our special occasions in the future. Thank you so much! Your cake was a hit at our party!

We came to the water bar to try out their coffee flights. Unfortunately no one in my party of 3 enjoyed any of the coffees we ordered in the flights. Coffees were very syrupy tasting, lukewarm, and the coffee was not good.

It was a hit and a miss. I ordered the large poke bowl for $15. It came in a paper container that you would get a med size froyo ice cream (as a reference point). 3/4 was filled with rice and very top layer was carrots, mango, and watermelon? Which had a great texture like salmon. So basically I paid $15 for mostly white rice, not a great value. Most poke bowls are served in a wider container, like a wide cereal bowl, they had a picture on the menu like it, but what you get served in is much smaller. Taste was decent, I am not a vegan but I can appreciate vegan food. I would pass on the poke bowl for the value reason. I left feeling hungry. My wife ordered two tacos, cheeseburger and chicken waffle. She spent $12 for the tacos, it was very tasty and had a good flavor. I also think it was worth paying $6 per taco, even though that is double what you pay for typical non vegan tacos.
Only tricky part about the taco was the waffle taco shell, it will break apart as soon as you take a bite or two creating a bit of a mess. I think it’s good to have healthy options in the area, I will try them one more time to see if I change my mind, but not the poke bowl…

By far the best vegan and gluten free restaurant my family has been too. I could not believe that this was here when I searched on Google but OMG are my and my family happy it is!

Love walking in and smelling the bakery in the morning and the menu is more extensive than I ever thought possible for a place that caters to so many different restrictions.

The staff were very helpful in answering our families allergy questions and we felt very comfortable, for the first time in a long time, ordering whatever we wanted on the menu.

The cookies were probably the best thing I have ever had in my life. The chocolate chip cookie is to die for. I could honestly eat them all day.

Highly recommend you go and try it for yourself!

And to the few people that were complaining about the floor, it’s winter people. Give them a break. We are all walking around with snow and salty shoes. I’m sure the staff are just doing their best.

The coffee is good and I enjoy the lattes. The pastries are lackluster. I appreciate that this place exists as a friendly place for allergies and dietary restrictions, so I want it to stick around. The dessert case needs improvement though. The treats I got today tasted old and dry. I arrived later in the day, so that may be why. I will probably stick to the coffee until their menu improves.

I absolutely love this place! First time in my 25 years of having severe food allergies have I been able to have a latte without being concerned about cross contamination. I usually get one of each pastry but my favorites are their bon-bons, chocolate chip cookies, apple fritters, and truly any of their donuts continue to exceed my wildest expectations! Their new pizzas are delicious and incredibly flavorful! I cannot recommend this place to people with food allergies, celiac, vegans, or really anyone wanting some good food!

I really wanted to love this place. We went an hour before closing, and they were out of three things we wanted. The taco salad was good. The bbq chicken taco was pretty good, but expensive (1 small taco for $6). Desserts were okay. The latte was like watered down coffee with little flavor. Overall, we weren’t impressed.
