Based on the reviews and online menu, I decided to drive up there (an hour away for me) the following weekend. It was around noon on a Sunday and the place was pretty quiet. I sat at the bar and had lunch.
The menu is creative, and my items (and others I saw pass by) were very attracively plated/presented.
I started with the Deviled Eggs. nice presentation and a nice subtle smoked paprika flavor blended nicely with the eggs.
I followed that with the Lamb Gyro Flatbread…this dish was excellent. I suspect the pickled onions on the flatbread are house-made and gave a wonderfully tangy edge to the ground lamb.
To accompany my entree, I ordered a Dirty Martini. The bartender asked if I wanted regular or Bleu Cheese Olives? I was surprised that the bleu cheese olives were not the typical colossal ones you normally find, but when I bit into one I was blown away! The bartender confirmed that these are house made…definitely very high quality cheese in these little ‘flavor grenades’! Roquefort? Stilton? either way…wow!!
It is this kind of attention to detail, quality of ingredients, professional service and great atmosphere that makes for a great dining experience IMHO. Although quite a bit of a drive for me, I will certainly be back soon!
Food is beautifully presented, flavorful, sustainable, and unique. The menu is sightly different at the bar than it is in the dining room or patio. Brunch is available on Sunday.
My wife and I can attest that the espresso and key lime pie martinis were great.
Expect it to be more crowded when tourist season is on, or when the snowbirds are present. Early bird specials are worth grabbing, saving a pretty good deal of money.
We tried the pork street tacos for a starter, but seriously considered the lobster escargot, which came highly recommended by friends.
My wife tried and adored the chicken cauliflower fried rice. I had a massive tomahawk pork chop with bacon creamed corn and asparagus. We nibbled at an amazing flatbread that went by the name of the Billy Goat.
Definitely recommended, but prices are on the high side. Still worth it.
If youre looking for something different in the Naples/Bonita area this is the spot. I absolutely loved it. Look closely at the menu to make sure its for you. The combination of flavors was fantastic. I had the cheese soup (fantastic), the Brutus salad (a type of caesar with a twist) and the grouper (the mesh of flavors was great). Their potatoes are phenomenal as well.
We came here on a monday and was pleasantly surprised we got 40% off for sitting at a table between 4-6pm (no alcohol included).
I will return here. And i suggest if you want to get away from the typical normal food fare here in SW FL. Come here.
