A little late in posting the review, but better late than never. Was searching for the best conch fritters in the area and the many reviews led me here. It was everything I was hoping for. Amazing, the best in the area. The side dipping sauce was also the best I’ve tried in KW. Definitely need to go back for more and try their Smash burger. Staff was super friendly as well

Truly the best and flavorful smash burger I’ve ever tried. Asked for their recommendation to try since it was my first time at their cute place, and oh boy, their popular double smash burger with cock sauce and home fries were amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely visit soon to try their cuban sandwich with conch fritters, and of course the smash burgers again!

Had a few smash burgers and these guys definitely know what they are doing!! Excellent quality, super friendly and perfect location! I parked in the small paid lot around the corner and walked there since finding a spot roadside would be like winning the lotto, lol. Definitely worth the effort to get to! Get extra cock sauce!! Stopped by the Wandering Rooster today for a smash burger. We got the rooster smash, tater tots and a shaved ice to cool down after. The food was excellent, the owner, Gary was super friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere/seating area was very nice. Highly recommend and can’t wait to eat here again on our next trip down to Key West!

Friendly staff. Very quick service. Got food in less than 10 minutes. Burger was really tasty. It didnt have the traditional smash burger crunch, but as a burger it was still very good. Tater tots were perfect and i loved the rooster sauce. Definitely worth a try

Came here after looking for some conch fritters around the entire key west, and to our surprise it was the best tasting conch fritters we ever tried!! Amazing flavor and the staff is so loving and polite, will definitly come back for their smash burgers that looked delishhh. Service was fast and smooth. 10/10 experience

This evening, I googled “BEST hamburger in KW.” To my delight, The Wondering Rooster was rating #1!! We were literally 2 store fronts away. Conveniently located on Greene Street between Duvall Street and Simonton Street. Set back just a bit from the sidewalk, we actually walked past it several times this week but had no idea what a little king The Wondering Rooster truly is until we stepped forward. We were greeted by an inviting entrance of green grass with stepping stones which lead to the absolute cutest food truck we’ve ever seen. THE reasonably priced Smash burger and HOT tater tots were fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS, as were the owner/operators!! What a treat they were!!
After placing your order with these precious folks, a covered cozy seating area awaits diners with a big screen television. Our meal was ready in no time and goodness, did we enjoy it!! You folks have a real gem in the middle of all the action and bustle of Key West, while still quiet, quant and DELICIOUS!! Well done folks, well done!! We’ll be back and it just might be tomorrow.

This was a wonderful food experience. I ordered a Chonc Fritter. It was the first time I had eaten this dish and it was amazing. The flavor was great and the customer service was excellent. The owners were very friendly and explained their menu with a smile and patience. The food truck is very clean, cute and cozy. With rosters as the mascot. I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. If you’re in Key West, give them a visit!
