Every worker was attentive and kind, especially our bartender, Olivia! Our food came out in no time at all — extremely hot and phenomenal tasting! The portions were huge and allowed us to be able to have leftovers for tomorrow.
Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re stopping by! The only downside is I don’t live in Columbus (hour and a half away), but will be back next time I’m in town!
I stopped here on a Sunday evening. They were not busy at all. We were actually able to park right outside in front of the place. The service was good. The food came out rather quickly. After about 20 minutes. The food was average to below average. I ordered cookies for dessert which are not pictured here. They were quite below average even though they came out warm. I wasn’t too impressed. The pricing was high for the food quality. I would not return here.
I’ve been flying into Columbus for business and was fairly happy to find a gem – unfortunately, here we are.
Strike 1: Ordered 2 Full Lobster rolls which comes with 4 Rolls, but only received 1 order when the Uber driver delivered.
Strike 2: I came to pick my order up today because they forgot an order yesterday. Well, you can see from the photo the meat ratio is probably 1 order – if maybe even half or less. I paid $70 for two orders. This is bad quality and doesn’t stand for a business like this unfortunately. I’m sorry to have to leave this. I hope you guys the best.

To begin with Joey greeted, seated & served us & it was like meeting up with an old friend.
The Walrus is exactly the kind of spot downtown Columbus needs. The atmosphere is always lively and inviting, and they strike a perfect balance between a cozy pub and a serious music venue.
I recently caught Joe Waters playing here, and he is absolutely a must-see. His performance was phenomenal—he commands the stage and brings a fantastic mix of blues, funk, and folk that completely elevates the night. The fact that they feature such high-caliber, award-winning talent with no cover charge is amazing.
Pair the great music with their excellent draft selection and tasty comfort food (the Cajun pasta is famous for a reason!), and you have a perfect night out. The staff is friendly and fast, even when the place is packed. If you’re looking for great live tunes and a guaranteed good time in Columbus, The Walrus is the place to be.
I was greated with a smile when I walked in and immediately shown to our table.
Then the magic happened.
Cody was our server and boy did we hit the jackpot. He was polite, funny, helpful, engaging and basically a gosh darn ray of sunshine. He set the tone for the whole night for us! You are so incredibly lucky to have someone on your staff like Cody. Words can not convey how happy I am to have encountered someone like him. Vibes immaculate. 10/10. No notes. He even gave me book recommendations. Please tell him I downloaded The Song of Achilles on my kindle. You now have a repeat customer because of his service. Way to go, Walrus!
