In Columbus for a overnight stay and the front dest suggested The Walrus. Once you find a place to park it is a cool place. I got the steak sandwich with cheese. It was tender and has a good taste. The fries were crispy just the way I like them. My fiancee had walrus salad and she said it was good. Olivia took care of us and checked on us with perfect timing. I would definitely eat here again.

I recommend this place 110%! My boyfriend and I’s original Valentine’s Day dinner plans fell through, so we came here instead but don’t regret it one bit.

Every worker was attentive and kind, especially our bartender, Olivia! Our food came out in no time at all — extremely hot and phenomenal tasting! The portions were huge and allowed us to be able to have leftovers for tomorrow.

Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re stopping by! The only downside is I don’t live in Columbus (hour and a half away), but will be back next time I’m in town!

Average to below average good. Decent service.

I stopped here on a Sunday evening. They were not busy at all. We were actually able to park right outside in front of the place. The service was good. The food came out rather quickly. After about 20 minutes. The food was average to below average. I ordered cookies for dessert which are not pictured here. They were quite below average even though they came out warm. I wasn’t too impressed. The pricing was high for the food quality. I would not return here.

I’m not the type to leave a bad review, but two strikes usually warrants one.

I’ve been flying into Columbus for business and was fairly happy to find a gem – unfortunately, here we are.

Strike 1: Ordered 2 Full Lobster rolls which comes with 4 Rolls, but only received 1 order when the Uber driver delivered.

Strike 2: I came to pick my order up today because they forgot an order yesterday. Well, you can see from the photo the meat ratio is probably 1 order – if maybe even half or less. I paid $70 for two orders. This is bad quality and doesn’t stand for a business like this unfortunately. I’m sorry to have to leave this. I hope you guys the best.

A Downtown Gem with Incredible Live Music!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

To begin with Joey greeted, seated & served us & it was like meeting up with an old friend.

The Walrus is exactly the kind of spot downtown Columbus needs. The atmosphere is always lively and inviting, and they strike a perfect balance between a cozy pub and a serious music venue.
I recently caught Joe Waters playing here, and he is absolutely a must-see. His performance was phenomenal—he commands the stage and brings a fantastic mix of blues, funk, and folk that completely elevates the night. The fact that they feature such high-caliber, award-winning talent with no cover charge is amazing.
Pair the great music with their excellent draft selection and tasty comfort food (the Cajun pasta is famous for a reason!), and you have a perfect night out. The staff is friendly and fast, even when the place is packed. If you’re looking for great live tunes and a guaranteed good time in Columbus, The Walrus is the place to be.

My friend and I decided to stop in on 2/13 for dinner and drinks before we attended an event on campus. I am so glad we did!!!!! I called in to let them know we were running about 10 minutes behind our scheduled reservation and Alex (I think that was who answered the phone I’m sorry if that’s not right) assured us our table would be held and told us to take our time. He was so kind.

I was greated with a smile when I walked in and immediately shown to our table.

Then the magic happened.

Cody was our server and boy did we hit the jackpot. He was polite, funny, helpful, engaging and basically a gosh darn ray of sunshine. He set the tone for the whole night for us! You are so incredibly lucky to have someone on your staff like Cody. Words can not convey how happy I am to have encountered someone like him. Vibes immaculate. 10/10. No notes. He even gave me book recommendations. Please tell him I downloaded The Song of Achilles on my kindle. You now have a repeat customer because of his service. Way to go, Walrus!

Sat at the bar. Waitress was helpful narrowing down order. Lots on menu I wanted to try (pastrami sammich, lobster perogi) but landed on Pot Roast. Smashed Taters garlicy ✅ Parsnips and Carrots cooked perfectly and caramelized. Paired with a delicious CBC IPA.

If you happen to be anywhere in the Midwest you absolutely need to make the trip to The Walrus. We were in town for The Arnold and came in very hungry. We were nicely surprised by the fantastic service, and delicious burgers, salads, and drinks. It was so good in fact, that we came back the next three nights. Our server for all three nights, Joey, was exceptional, he remembered our drinks and orders and could not have been friendlier and happier to help.

My wife really enjoyed her chicken quesadilla. Wings were good and if the sliders had their own sauce, they would have been through the roof. Thank you for such great service. We will be coming back, next time we are in town.

We had a rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding here. Absolutely amazing and perfect place. Very casual, private room which held 30 or so people easily. After, we opened it up for drink for other guest coming in. The staff (Evan and Carly) were amazing. First, we have some allergy issues with people. The Walrus staff checked out all the food options ahead of time and separate anything that may have been an issue. Evan and Carly were extremely attentive and were able to keep all the drinks orders going to the right people (not easy as everyone was moving around). The food was excellent (buffet style with multiple options). Cannot say enough about how well it went. They let us take over a tv and show a slide show. So if you are in Columbus and looking for a private event – check out the Walrus. If you are just looking for a casual dinner-that is a perfect place too.
