– Roadhouse Burger – $14: The half pound patty was larger around. I ordered medium, but it was medium well. It was basic, light seasoning (salt and pepper?), and nothing special.
They did not have American cheese so I stuck with cheddar ($1 extra). You add your own sauces. The toppings were fairly fresh and crisp. The bun was also extra wide and on the fluffy side.
While the burger was okay, it was up-charged enough that it was on the expensive side for what you get compared to other places.
– Fries – $2 extra with burger: Standard cut battered fries. There was a lot of salt at the bottom.
– Shrimp Tacos – $8 for two (Thursday special): My friend ordered this and reported it was very good and that he had never had shrimp tacos before.
The tacos do NOT come with a pickle. I gave him mine from my burger.
– Dinner Rolls – (free): Small, soft, and warm. The butter was standard and not as sweet as other restaurants.
– Service: Our waitresses were very kind, polite, and prompt. There was initially some confusion as to who was serving us, but that was sorted out. Our orders were right and so were our bills. However, our waters were not filled. I left it on the edge of the table and it was never noticed.
– Atmosphere: Relatively recent woodwork and trim is clean and feels like home. There are also wood floors. While this looks nice, it did create a loud atmosphere that made conversation difficult.
– Conclusion: I think a few things could change, but the tacos were good.
Visited on a Thursday at 6pm.
The gin and tonic was very tonic heavy, I ended up asking for another shot of gin because there was way too much mixer. The old fashioned was pretty good, but there was a dessert cherry in it, while the menu listed a Luxardo cherry (very rich and dark, crucial to the taste of the old fashioned). The cosmo had the same issue as the gin and tonic- too much mixer, it tasted like lemonade.
Hope walker roadhouse takes the feedback because we’d love to come here more!
The service was exceptional! Our server, Jessica did a great job!
She really enjoyed her perch dinner and so did my dad.
My lovely wife enjoyed her dinner of salmon and brussel sprouts.
I thought my dinner of ribs was good.
Waitress was great and just the right amount of attentiveness.
And my mom got a free dessert! Forgot you take pictures of that. But it was a brownie with ice cream. You kinda know what that looks like, right? It was good.
Apparently they allow wait staff to have hair hanging loose….hair that hangs down below the person’s buttocks
Yes, free flowing…idk….4 foot long hair? Pretty gross actually. Sorry food service interferes with your style but that’s crazy
