This coffee shop is a bit tucked away—it took us a little while to find it—but once we did, we were pleasantly surprised by how cute and cozy the area and the shop itself were. The entrance and overall vibe had a lot of charm, and we were excited to try it out.

We ordered a couple of oat milk lattes, but unfortunately, they really fell short. They tasted more like straight oat milk with barely any hint of espresso. When you’re paying $7–8 for a latte, you’re definitely hoping for a strong, balanced flavor, and this just didn’t deliver. Maybe it was a one-off issue or not enough espresso shots, but it left us disappointed.

That said, the atmosphere was lovely, and it might be worth a try if you’re in the area—just hoping they dial in the espresso a bit more in the future!

My most favorite coffee shop in the world! Paddle up, paddle out, or just chill in the historic wooden boat house setting. Say hi to Kate (coolest owner in Grand Lake). and Valeria- they rock!

This is the coffee shop of Grand Lake!! Don’t bother going to any of the other coffee shops if you are a true coffee and espresso lover, the other places will disappoint but not this one! They use a great medium-dark bean for espresso which means their drinks aren’t burnt tasting or over roasted. Staff is warm and even funny cracking jokes. Cool environment with a wall of windows that you can sit and watch the marina workers and boats coming in and out of the dock.

Amazing views and decor, absolutely terrible coffee.

The views of the lake are fantastic, with a convenient boat rental nearby.

The staff is super friendly and nice as well.

Sadly, the actual coffee is awful, somehow both simultaneously burned and bitter. I’m not sure if their beans are garbage or the machine is bad, either way if you like coffee, best to skip.

Best food my husband and I had in a 3 day visit to Grand Lake! We had a Monster Burrito and a Greek Sunrise. Quality ingredients and delicate seasoning made these extra delish. Also, the custom coffee that we got was wonderful. Very friendly folks that we enjoyed visiting with. A beautiful view of the Lake and the goings-on at the dock as people get out there playing and fishing. Highly recommended! (Hope you see the photos I added later! 🙂

Cute little coffee shop to stop at after driving through RMNP. It’s at the end of Grand Lake town so not crowded at all. Fair prices and beautiful seating area to view the lake. Can imagine would be busy during the summer.

We drove on our way back from trail ridge road and wanted to stop by Grand Lake! Wake coffee is next to the marina so it’s such a chill and cool vibe to hang out and grab some coffee and if you wish a bite! We were lucky to be there as they were closing for the season soon and had some great coffee options! The Colorado cup was amazing and right for the slightly cool weather.

I chose The Wake Coffee Shop as they have a healthy breakfast option, “The Crunchy Power Bowl”. The bowl has ancient grains, savory kale, sweet dates, nuts, and chickpeas topped off with a savory curry sauce.

The overall dish was good; however, the chickpeas were cold and tasted like they came straight from the can. Would have tasted better if they were warmed up a bit.

Additionally, all the good stuff was at the bottom of the dish under the kale. The dish would be better if the chickpeas and all the good stuff were on top of the kale, or at least toss it all together like a tossed/chopped salad.

The young woman from Transylvania was very pleasant; however, the other worker today seemed a bit unfriendly; perhaps she was having a bad day.

The breakfast burritos are pre-made so do not expect fresh, nor can you omit any items like peppers if you do not want to have them in your burrito.

There are better options for a more robust and complete breakfast in town if that is what you want.

This coffee shop has a marvelous inviting vibe. Situated off the beaten track, nestled in a marina, it feels like a hidden gem. The staff are a delight and the coffee is elevated.

This place is awesome. I got a parfait and an iced chai. It’s a quiet little place, great to do work. The food tasted incredible. The service is great and everyone is nice. The atmosphere is so cool because you can see lake and the mountains around you. 5 star for sure.
