This place is amazing! Just completed a two day work event at The Wake Club and enjoyed every moment. The view of the lake is like no other, while the entire staff was so attentive, friendly, and honestly the definition of hospitality! Hats off to the owner who makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years. It deserves more than a 5-star rating and I can’t wait to go back for another visit!

The Wake club is at lighthouse Landing overlooking the sailboat harbor and Kentucky Lake. It’s our new favorite place to watch the sunset while enjoying a five star meal. Their chef prepares daily entrées off the menu in addition to the extensive menu and full bar they usually offer entertainment on Saturday evenings. our last visit there they presented us with free tickets to the badge Playhouse to see the Beatles review, which was very entertaining and a great performance.

Amazing meal. The chef brought us the truffle fry appetizer and our main entrees. As you can see, the presentation was top notch and the flavor was above and beyond. We highly recommend this place, but be warned, you must have reservations.

The food here is solid, no doubt about it. But they’re trying too hard to look fancy. Self-serve tap beer? Big mistake. This isn’t McDonald’s—it’s supposed to be a fine restaurant. Half the time it pours nothing but foam, and you still get charged by the ounce. Prep runs slow in the back, but at least the plates that finally come out taste good.

I called ahead to check if I needed a reservation and was told no, but when I arrived, I was informed there’d be up to an hour wait for food because a large group of has just ordered. I was also told there were no tables on the porch, and was directed to the bar — which, as a solo diner, always feels like an afterthought.

What really surprised me was how much internal restaurant business I was immediately told — about the kitchen being backed up, the chef being overwhelmed, and how they couldn’t accommodate me easily. It felt unprofessional and made me feel like a burden rather than a welcome guest.

I suggested that maybe my single order could be front-loaded, which would’ve made sense given the large party was clearly happy socializing — but I was told no without much thought. To top it off, the host actually started suggesting other restaurants I could go to instead. That felt incredibly rude and dismissive, as if they just didn’t want to serve me.

Overall, the experience left me feeling truly unwelcome and the atmosphere did not meet the prices of the food, so I left. Hospitality should be about making guests feel comfortable, not like they’re in the way — especially solo diners. A little empathy, better communication, and smarter service decisions could’ve made this a much more positive experience.

Chef Alex, once again, excelled at a masterful culinary experience. Delectable scallops adorned with sugar snap peas, lemon basil aioli, puréed butternut squash with fried risotto medallions was superb in presentation. Chef Alex is very creative in every culinary experience. Abbey was very gracious in serving us. We will definitely return! Thank you, always, for such a special evening!

Do not expect to be treated well at this club if you are in everyday street clothes. My husband and I stopped by for a drink after eating at T. Lawson’s (fabulous service and food). The hostess was rude and I can only assume it was due to our casual, yet appropriate clothing. We were treated well by the bartender and the musician was fabulous.

My daughter took me here for a Mothers’ Day lunch today. It was truly amazing! Food and service were both great. Chefs came out to visit with us, and made us a special dessert. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

We tried to go there to eat with 4 people at 7:45 and the girl at the door said they had no table. We were standing in front of 10 tables that were empty. She told us they only had bar seats. When we got to the bar the bartender said she would look for a table at that point we walked out. We were treated like crap and we were staying at the cabins all weekend. We didn’t feel accepted at all. It isn’t a good place to go if they treat you like that and we can’t even get a meal.
