Omg. That New Haven char is unreal!! So good. Half burnt charcoal taste and texture with a little dough and burnt cheese is unbeatable!

Absolutely outstanding Cheesesteak. Cheesy, beefy, bread is fantastic, definitely recommend the seeded roll, along with coopers sharp American cheese. Will definitely be back to try the pizza, that looked incredible from what I could tell.
The atmosphere is great in my opinion, feels just like a true Philly spot. Only downside is , it’s so damn popular that the parking can be a pain, but definitely not a deal breaker. Can’t wait to go back!

Violet Stone has officially become my go-to pizza spot in St. Pete, and their new location has elevated the entire experience to a whole nuther level. The moment you walk in, you can feel the passion and energy of the owners and staff. They are people who clearly love what they do and pour that spirit into every dish and every detail of the restaurant.
Let’s talk pizza. Their standing pizza is, without question, the best in town. It has that true Naples-style authenticity—perfectly balanced, light yet flavorful, and topped with the ideal amount of ingredients. The crust is absolute perfection: airy with just the right chew and beautifully blistered with leopard spots (not burned!). It’s the kind of pizza that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it.
But the surprise star for me is the Philly cheesesteak. It’s not always pizza. There are other choices. The combination of tender, well-seasoned meat with their superb, fresh-baked bread is unreal. Every bite hits with that perfect blend of texture and flavor. It’s easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had anywhere, not just in Florida.
The new location is a huge upgrade from the original: ample parking, more seating, both indoor and outdoor options, and a more comfortable flow throughout the space. And the music? Excellent. Rock and roll, baby, the perfect soundtrack for great food and good vibes.

Had a good pizza here. The pizza crust was crisp and the ingredients tasted fresh. I wasn’t a fan of the handmade cheese sticks. Look great but the taste fell flat. I would definitely come back and try some more pizza and they had a cool vibe

We were in the area and tried this place out. To start off we had the fried mozzarella and let me tell you pair with ghe homemade marinara sauce it was awesome. Then we spilt a steak and cheese. It was great flavor, but it was cold/Luke warm at best and the bun was on the hard side. We wish it was hot with more cheese and a warm soft bun would have made all the difference. Then final we had the pizza. The pizza was amazing with great crust and flavorful toppings.
We will be back again.

The pizza was super authentic and the crust was sturdy yet tender. Quality pepperoni too.
Also the fried pickle spears were amazing!
We ordered at the counter but Olivia was super friendly, accommodating and attentive.

We’re from about an hour north of Philly and stopped at The Violet Stone while on vacation in Florida, my husband follows Dave’s pizza reviews, so there was no way we were skipping this spot, and wow are we glad we didn’t!
It’s a great little place with both indoor and outdoor seating, super friendly service, and food that’s absolute fire. Hands down the best pizza and cheesesteak we’ve had in Florida. Definitely worth the stop!

This place is honestly pretty chaotic, especially on a Friday night! I placed a to go order. It was ready in about 30-35 minutes, when online said it’d be ready in 15. I also had to park down the street. I was annoyed by both of these things at first- but then I tried the cheesesteak (first time) and none of that other stuff mattered. It is so good. Worth the hype, and worth the wait. Go get you one!

Had been waiting to try the new location but was VERY disappointed. Ordered a Shroomy Cheesesteak and fries to go. $28. That’s WAY TOO MUCH. The seeded roll was stale. The sandwich was VERY salty, almost inedible.
To make things worse, one can clearly see in the open kitchen concept they have. No one in the kitchen used hair net (or beard nets) hats or gloves. Appearantly this is an ongoing issue and they have had warnings but are not getting the hint
The sole bright spot was the three wonderful servers. They were all sweet, attentive, kind and busy cleaning.
