Vine & Oak Tavern located at 100 South Avenue E, is an upscale restaurant in downtown Cranford that opened on April 25th 2022. We offer a mix of American comfort food with a Mediterranean and Italian twist. Chef Ermelindo Firmani & the Vine and Oak culinary team use the highest quality fresh produce and ingredients to compliment the superior quality of our Prime Beef, Fresh Seafood, sushi and wood-fired pizza. Our wine list is quite extensive and every night we have a variety of specials and cocktails. A visit to Vine & Oak Tavern serves to be more than just a meal, but rather an experience to remember.

The Vine & Oak Tavern is a fantastic spot that truly understands hospitality. We visited for a friend’s birthday celebration, and the staff went out of their way to make the occasion feel extra special. What blew me away was that even on a snow day, the staff showed up and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
The atmosphere strikes a great balance—it’s cozy enough for an intimate meal but spacious enough for a group. We started with a medley of appetizers, and the food was incredible across the board. Whether you are looking for a great brunch or a solid lunch, they have an amazing selection that hits the mark every time.

We’ve been here a bunch before, and always liked it, but felt the menu, and the restaurant in general, was trying to be e bit too high end. We saved it for “special occasions” where we knew we’d overpay for great atmosphere, good food, and great service.
They completely redid their menu since we were here last, and we loved it. I am a fairly picky eater, and was often limited to a handful of items on the old menu. Now the entire menu was open for business. The new menu is kind of a mix between American and Italian, and I’m excited to put V&O into our rotation.
Everything seemed to be reasonably priced, except maybe the wine (Prisoner Red Blend $120, Quilt Cab $155), but you have to expect that.

my server Victoria was so professional, calm and soothing and suggested all the correct wines to compliment my juicy delicious filet mignon ~my niece ordered the burger and she is a picky eater, she went NUTS OVER HOW JUICY AND DELICIOUS IT WAS, it is the best $22 BURGER ANYWHERE! you can tell it comes fresh from the butcher, the ambiance made my niece feel she was in a sophisticated cozy place in NYC – cant wait to go back!!!!!!!

I went to the Vine and Oak last night for the first time for dinner and drinks and sat at the bar. Chris was tending bar and I had one of his old fashions as well as his espresso martinis. Both were excellent! I also met with Reynold who provided me history of the place and let me know about the other sibling restaurants managed by the same family. The Vine and Oak is an excellent stop for anyone wanting a nice night out with that Manhattan feel without the Manhattan prices or traffic. I will be going back and bringing additional family members to enjoy its food and services.

The food is equally impressive—I loved the **Beet Salad** (so fresh and flavorful), the **Mussels** (perfectly cooked), and the **Calamari** (crispy and tender). The **Salmon** and **Scallop** dinner were also delicious, showcasing the kitchen’s skill with seafood.
This restaurant has quickly become one of my go-to spots—cozy ambiance, great service, and consistently amazing food and drinks. A true local gem that I can’t recommend enough! Will definitely be back.

The menu options were amazing, and the food was delicious and fresh. The drinks and wine selection were excellent, and every guest loved their meal. Booking the event was easy, and the team even created a special menu for my guests, which made the evening feel truly personal.

We had dinner on January 17th, 2026 Saturday night a party of 6 in Cranford and loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming! This restaurant instantly made us feel like regulars even thought it was our first time? The food was perfectly cooked and everything we was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Charlie who personally stopped by our table to welcome us. Charlie was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about making sure everything was ok.
