This restaurant has a comfortable castle style atmosphere. The food is plentiful. The quality and flavors of the food is irresistible. The desserts are fresh and tasty. There was acoustic guitar entertainment on a Wednesday night. We will definitely be back.

Stopped by for a midday meal and once again everything was fantastic. We chose a burger along with a gyro platter and both were cooked perfectly. The gyro meat was soft juicy and packed with flavor as always. The complimentary popcorn at the table is a fun touch that we really enjoy. We also sampled the rum flight and it was excellent. The bottled mai tai is another great option that I would highly recommend.

First time visit was underwhelming. Let’s get the best part out of the way. The atmosphere was the best part of the visit. The decor was absolutely amazing. From the entrance to the tables. I couldn’t stop looking in every area. The fireplace is always a nice focal point. Service and food was mediocre at best. With the atmosphere so amazing, I was expecting the food to be just as good or even better but not in the least. Portions of steak fries were not consistent with other meals that came with them and the flavor of the chicken and rice was very disappointing with the lack of flavor. I had the Gyro wrap and it was a unique twist on the classic which was decent. We made it before it got busier however the service was a little slow. Until I give it another shot, I would not recommend.

Food is consistently good. Always cooked well, and serving size is generous.
Of course, I came back! I was yearning for a steak and potato dinner, but lo and behold, it was Greek night! Totally changed my mind! I gobbled up the chicken lemon rice soup so I could start on the always perfect Mai-Tai! That was a win-win in my book. Next up was the Greek lemon baked chicken dinner. Included with the perfectly baked 1/2 chicken was a Greek salad, roasted veggies, pita bread. I really have it a good try, but I ended up taking more home than I was able to finish there!
But wait, there’s more. A nice size piece of Baklava was included with the meal. I only had room left for a taste. And yes, it filled that last little spot nicely. My server was Melissa. She suggested the baked lemon chicken, and she steered me to one of the most tasty and enjoyable dinners I’ve had in a while! Thank you, Melissa, and The Village Squire for a wonderful meal. I will be enjoying the leftovers for a couple of days! (I don’t think the baklava will last quite as long!)
I look forward to my next meal at The Squire!

We love to come here for the drinks and appetizers! The roasted garlic app and potato skins are our favorites. The flight of Mai-tai flavors is a fun way to try them all. Great beer on tap and they bring out fresh popcorn while you wait. Staff is friendly and attentive. They have gaming machines and private party rooms available.

I’ve had filet mignon at checkers in Union, coopers hawk and Texas Roadhouse, village squire in McHenry had the best out of all of them! Our waitress Carrie was beyond exceptional! I can’t wait to go back, and I’ll wait for a table in her section…she’s that good!

I had someone serve me her name is Carrie she was such a sweetheart and cared so much about me and my family and kept the environment clean for us. She always made sure to check on us and refill our drinks as soon as they were done. She is also amazing at taking photos! This is the best waitress I’ve ever had here and I’m so thankful that she works here. She knows how to light up the mood and make us enjoy the night or day. She deserves a raise! Best waitress. May she always have a blessed life and may nobody bring her spirt down!
