I enjoyed this restaurant. I had oysters and crab balls for appetizers. I wasn’t a fan of the fried crab balls, but the oysters were great. For my entree, I had the crab imperial. It was a lot better than the seafood imperial I had at AJ’s across the street. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have a nice view of the marsh that you can see from several tables or check out from the back deck.

We dined last night for a 60th birthday celebration. Raw and steamed oysters along with bacon wrapped scallops for our apps were outstanding. Myself and one other in our group ordered fried food for our entrée. It was fair at best, the seafood combo, over 40 bucks. Almost immediately after finishing the oil reacted with my body as did the other in our group. I think perhaps the oil was old or there was something spoiled in it. The other 3 ordered the stuffed rockfish special. The stuffing was amazing butnthe fish itself was bland.
The wait staff was exemplary, we were taken good care of. The place itself is bide, very clean and accommodating. Our bill was $472 before tip which for 5 adults isn’t bad. Will I come back? I’d say absolutely. However I won’t order fried food again. Its 3:43am and my stomach is still in knots, too uncomfortable to sleep.

One of the highlights to our visit to Chincoteague Island in Virginia was our dinner at The Village. My daughter and her family came with us so we were able to sample a wide variety of the food. Favorites were the clam strips, shrimp (the coconut shrimp was particularly good) and the crab cakes. The Mahi Mahi was a little bland (should’ve gone with the blackened option) and the fried oysters were good but just good. Portions were nice sized with good tasting sides. Fresh bread was served at the beginning, still warm and soft.

We had a friendly, helpful waitress – very conscientious. The atmosphere was comfortable and family friendly. The pricing was moderate, especially for a seafood experience. We all enjoyed it, from the 7 year old twins to the old people on the other end of the table!

The NY Strip Steak, Blackened Flounder, and Seafood Stuffed Tomato were all excellent and I highly recommend them. The Vegetable Stir-fry with Scallops added not so much as it lacked the variety of vegetables found in typical stir-fry and ended up being a bowl of mainly rice and green beans with a couple of scallops. The service was great and they were very accommodating to someone with a shellfish alergy in our party. Reservations were easy and they even answered their phone and answered our questions and took our reservations during non open hours on the same day. We were sat in a timely manner.
I highly recommend The Village!

Took my family here. We were promptly seated and treated with smiles. The restaurant was nice with some great views. The tables are far apart from each other and didn’t feel crowded at all.
My wife and I love the bowl of cream of crab soup. The table loved the Calamari, great light breading and perfectly fried. Good size portion too. My wife and I enjoyed the broiled seafood platter. My grandson loved the fried clams. Of site free parking, but can be tight or overflowing.

We didn’t have reservations but they accommodated us despite it being super busy so we appreciated that. Started off with the clam casino which was AMAZING. We split crab cakes and it’s definitely the best we’ve had so far on the island. Much more crab meat than we expected! Great value for their food and the service was excellent.

A great place for seafood. A well rounded menu hits many of the local delicacies. The Crab Imperial and oysters are great choices. The staff was very professional and well acquainted with the menu and quick to give recommendations. The fresh bread is a great start and the bartender is very skilled in beach drinks. Expect a little wait. But we’ll worth it.

Everything was great. Our server was very attentive and the host made sure we had a nice table with a view (despite us arriving at 8pm on a Friday night without a reservation). We ate here the first night of our vacation and i know I will now compare every other meal to this delicious first meal.
