This is an older, local seafood restaurant with a bar. If you want some local food and service, that’s what you’ll find. Brussel sprouts app was good but a bit small, fisherman’s platter was good sized, comes with the smaller shrimp and medium sized scallops (sea, not bay), healthy serving of fried clams, pick your breading type (with bellies, but you can order the fake ones too). Lobster roll is reasonably priced but not the ginormous type. O rings, chowder, steak tips, steamers, etc.. Then see the rest of the menu, says they have prime rib – I’d return if there wasn’t a big wait (which I’m guessing there could be in-season or on wrekends).

The food was delicious. Everyone at my table had something different, and they were all great choices from Pasta to subs to seafood, even the appetizers. Our server was incredibly nice, and she always knew when to check on us. The building is uniquely decorated and is inviting to be in. I’m no seafood lover, so whether you are or aren’t, I would definitely recommend this place. They have something for everyone.

Tables were dirty, windowsills had inches of dust and cobwebs, the only thing good was the moz sticks and fries. Lobster was insanely over cooked and not even edible. No flavor to the fish and chips. Wasn’t busy at all and waitress didn’t check on us once. Don’t waste your money.

The Village Inn restaurant has a decent atmosphere, great service from our server, and my prime rib steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My cocktail, a watermelon margarita, was excellent. My only disappointment was that they don’t serve dark beers, but the margaritas made up for the difference, and the mashed potatoes are instant.

Sadly I’ve had better clam chowder out of a can….was here on travel for work and was really looking forward to some great local flavor. Sorry guys… underwhelming. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Food was ok, mediocre fried seafood. The waitress was not very good, had an attitude and kept forgetting (had to ask for silverware 3 times as well as our sides and condiments over and over). But thats not the part that was an issue, the issue was that there was trash (napkin ring) in the bottom of my drink and when i told the waitress about it she just took the trash, shrugged, and said “oh, the dishwasher mustve pushed it in the cup”. Nothing was done, no new drink, no discount, nothing- and it was pretty gross to have a clogged straw with trash when your sipping your beverage.
