A group of my friends have a weekly choir practice nearby and we’ve tried several restaurants in the area for lunch. This has become our favorite. There are a variety of good food choices, including options for vegetarians, and both breakfast and lunch items. Everything we’ve tried has been very good. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and service is excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable and quiet enough to allow for conversation. I highly recommend it!

“The Grill” as we like to call it is delicious. The pancakes are really good and I have never really had a bad meal here. I have only done breakfast and it’s always wonderful. I have never done lunch and that is the reason for the 4 star review. I’m sure the other menu items (lunch) are good too though. I really like the fact that you can actually sit at the bar like an old fashioned diner. It’s great to watch John and his crew do all the cooking right there in front of you. I like to support the local places and this one is no exception. Ham off the bone….amazing.

I just had the best Eggs Benedict of my life! The food was delicious, service was fast and friendly, and the tables and bathroom were clean. Highly recommend! I’ve never been here before today, but I will certainly be back! Thanks for a great experience, The Village Green; I’m very pleased.

Great small restaurant close to downtown Arlington Heights. The pancakes were fluffy and delish! Omelette was a good size and fresh sliced hashbrowns tasted great. The real bonus was the gravy for the biscuits and Gravy. It had the perfect amount of pepper and flavor. I would definitely be back here! My 3 year old even ate everything!

We visited on a Saturday and it was a good old American breakfast diner with welcoming staff and servers.
We ordered and omelet and some pancakes along with fruit. Also, we tried the burrito.
1. Omelet + pancakes (7/10)
2. Burrito (6/10)

There’s place to sit at the breakfast bar or tables / booth. They will gladly accommodate to your needs.

The waitress made a fresh pot of decaf for me. I had the Denver omelet, which was huge, hashbrowns and toast while enjoying watching people bustle off to work. Very pleasant.

I really wanted to love this place (especially after all the reviews), but at the end of the day it was only ok.

start with the good: atmosphere was nice with a good view of the kitchen and Arlington heights, staff was SUPER nice, price is decent and a good selection of food. Presentation was good as well.

What could use improvement: Food lacked flavor. My breakfast skillet was pretty bland both in flavor and texture. My wife’s crepe was very thick and the fruit seems to have been from a frozen bag. The coffee was pretty weak which baffles me (its so easy to have decent coffee!).

all in all, I want this place to do well and id love to give it another shot. My advice would be to improve some of the basics and possibly pair back the menu a bit until you do. And get some good coffee beans 🙂

Just came back in town from South Carolina. I’ve been coming here since eating Mickey Mouse pancakes in a highchair and The Village Grill of Arlington Heights has always been my favorite breakfast place. The owners are some of the hardest working, friendliest people and the food blows egg harbor or any of the big breakfast chains out of the water. It’s sad to see places like this not get the business they should be. The atmosphere and the food is all love. I want this to be the first place I take my future family. Thank you Village Grill 🙂

Not much stars…below average…poor menu..asked for avocados, cilanto, blueberrys, strawberys….and they don’t have it. 90% fruits tasting old/frozen. Not recommended…..wondering why they have 4.6 stars.
