My family and I recently stopped by to check out this new little eatery! It was cute inside with lovely wood tables. I had heard some great reviews about the homemade corned beef hash. So of course I ordered the corned beef hash omelette, grilled English muffin and potato pancakes. The corned beef hash omelette was pretty good but something was a little off with it. I could not quite put my finger on it. The potato pancakes were delicious. I will absolutely order those again. My husband had a short stack of French toast with a side of bacon which he said he enjoyed. The bacon was well cooked and crispy. My son had a chocolate chip pancake and shared the bacon with dad. The service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress so we understood the stress she was under. The have a full bar and serve lunch and dinner I understand. It was a good meal and we will be back.

On April 8th 2023 we sent this message to The Village Eatery. “Hello, we were online looking for a place to eat your pictures of food had alot of 5 stars and the food looked outstanding. We came in for breakfast just after 11 and very hungry. We were standing at the door. There was only a few people that had been seated and it was not busy at all. We stood for a good 20 minutes and no one sat us so we sat ourselves. The waitress saw us but didn’t seat us. She didn’t even say Hello. Another 10 minutes went by we had no menu no silverware no coffee and still no acknowledgment from the waitress who did see us come and did see us sit down. We ended up leaving and still she never said a word to us. We left starving and disappointed but thankfully Charlie’s homestyle diner was just down the road they were packed but we managed to get some coffee and breakfast. I wanted to let you know what happened rather then just leaving a review of our experience on your page.” It is May 17, 2023 and we still have had no responce no acknowledgment of any kind wanted to now leave the review here in hopes someone from The Village

Make sure you have a lot of time. Food took way too long to come to table. 1 hour! Then got one meal at a time for our party of 6. Mostly cold. If hot it maybe ok.

The village Eatery is in week three of their Sunday Morning buffet. They are doing pretty good, the buffet is a little congested at times and in time will need to me modified to allow proper flow of customers. The selection of good is in line standard buffet choices.

Won’t be going back there. Hash browns with no sour cream option. Also got the Italian omelet with sausage. I believe the sausage was kielbasa that would make it polish not Italian. Also the so called sausage was too tough.

My grandparents took me here for lunch and I honestly wasn’t expecting much but WOW was I blown away. The food was seasoned and cook immaculately. It looked like there was only a few workers in the building, but all of the tables were full and well taken care of. The Apple crisp was delicioussss and the fries and onion rings were some of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend!

Gets 2 stars because the food was good. We visited this place Sunday morning for breakfast. The problems started early. Google, Facebook and the restaurant all had different hours. We showed up expecting them to be open, but they were not yet, bad management. Hopefully my edit to Google will at least fix one of their problems. We get inside and there’s one table for a large group. Other large groups had to move tables around which isn’t a big deal, but it seemed like the staff was not really pleased about that. It is a fairly small place. From here it only got worse and I blame all of it on poor management. They apparently only have one pot of coffee because we were told the one pot of coffee continued to be empty or in the hands of another server. Took probably 30 minutes to get coffee, bad management. It is apparently a buffet Sunday mornings, again I say apparently because it’s unclear at the time we went as to what to expect, bad management. We were told that people that were supposed to prep didn’t, so the morning crew had to do a lot of it in the morning, bad management. And because of this the buffet was always empty or lacking normal options, bad management. Our server was very nice and tried to be as appeasing as possible given the circumstances. But it wasn’t exactly hidden that the servers were fighting amongst themselves for resources, bad management. We left not hungry, but not full either because we didn’t want to continue waiting for the slow food prep. 2 kids were hungry and getting upset there was not really much to eat. Went home to feed them. Even though the food was better then the first time we visited the poor management experienced this time will prevent us from going again. I just don’t want to relive this experience. Maybe going on a day other than Sunday will be a better experience, but not willing to risk it.

A 4.3 rating isn’t accurate for my experience.
