The atmosphere is very relaxing. Cute decor, big band style music playing, the server was very friendly. Sauces for all the dishes were savory and well seasoned each delicious for it’s type. The bread sticks were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only downside and reason for the low score was because I found a piece of foil paper in my food, the server was apologetic and advised me she told the owner about this that was in back. I would have came out to personally apologize if I were the owner. I didn’t ask for anything I didn’t expect anything and told her it was no big deal I feel like I handled it a lot better than most people would. That being said I thought I had not taken a picture of the foil but the picture I took of my food actually has it sitting right on top. Overall the food was great but because of that foil paper and lack of care from the owner I would be wary of going back. Actions speak louder than words and i got neither from the owner. If they would have come out and apologized I wouldn’t have mentioned this at all. Great food but inspect your plates!

All around 5 stars! Amazing ambience in the restaurant. Delightful and attentive service. Food was fresh and tasty! Especially the bread, so good! We will be back regularly, this is a hidden Italian gem in Brownsville! They even have cauliflower crust so celiac friendly for the cherry on top!

Not a bad place to eat at the beginning looked upscale.. its not .. nice place inside. Ordered chicken Primavera good taste, good portion for the price. Good bread sticks. Not a five cause drinks were served in a bottle with a to go cup.. which made it awkward.. service was not great for only having 2 tables.. no napkins and small things need to be looked at such as maybe when you drop off food ask if we need parmesean or any other seasoning? Waitress needs to come after just to see how food taste or we need anything after you drop off food.

We absolutely loved it here. We tried it for the first time and this is going to become our next go to spot. The lasagna was 10/10, flavorful and portion size was great. The calamari was spicy but in the best way possible. The ambience and the food almost made us forget we were in Brownsville, it was extremely romantic inside with the music and decor. We absolutely are recommending this place to everyone we know

The food is great but since they moved from location it hasn’t been the same, the customer service from the lady that’s always there has changed a lot so the customer service sucks and I recently ordered for take out and I ordered a large pizza with a lasagna and when they gave me the pizza it looked like the small lol and I paid like 40 dollars but oh well not coming back again lack of customer service and this it just disappoints me as this was one of my favorite spots.

New location photos shared. Their food is always very good. The service however this last time was not that great. It was only one person for the whole restaurant who was serving and also cashing people out. The owner was sitting by the cash register area. He should have pulled his weight and helped around if he saw or paid attention that he only had one server for the whole place on a Wednesday evening. We had to get up to ask for boxes to go.

This is how we felt when we visited The Village at La Scala. The experience was different enough to forget that you were in Brownsville for a bit .
From the ambient, food, and the service, our experience was just awesome!
Our host, Richard, was super friendly and our food came out really hot and well made.
I honestly haven’t enjoyed pizza like I did when we ate here. It was super cheesy and the tomato didn’t overpower the rest of the flavor.
Do yourself a favor and try the zombie pizza ♂️ ♀️
We ordered a regular classic pepperoni, and the zombie with the coliflower crust. The zombie consisted of ranch sauce with pepperoni, spinach, bacon, and tomatoes. As much as we loved the classic, we found our new favorite!
I really recommend an afternoon or a night out!
