The Vig in Scottsdale was a great stop. The space has a relaxed but lively vibe and feels like a good mix of restaurant and hangout spot. The staff was welcoming and service stayed consistent even when it got busy.

The food was on point. Good flavors quality ingredients and everything came out hot and well plated. The portion sizes were fair and the menu had enough variety without feeling all over the place. The drinks were solid too. Good cocktails and a nice selection overall.

If you’re looking for a laid-back place to eat grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere The Vig is an easy choice. I’d go back.

We stumbled upon The Vig while looking for a happy hour spot with a good vibe. It was empty when we arrived but filled up quickly, which says a lot. The open-air setup is great, with a large bar and TVs, a beautiful outdoor area, and solid service. We enjoyed chatting with the GM and would definitely come back for the atmosphere and good conversation alone.

Food-wise, it was hit or miss:
• The hummus crudité was good but nothing standout; appreciated the generous portion of veggies.
• Nachos were good, especially the crema
• Pretzel was good, served warm, not too salty
• The grilled chicken chopped salad was much smaller than expected. Despite $20 price point, it felt more like a side portion.
• The Vig burger was overcooked and on the smaller side—nothing memorable.

Drinks were excellent.

Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks, vibes, and socializing. We’d return for the atmosphere, but the food didn’t quite live up to the setting.

I’ve visited this location a number of times, they have a great patio and bar area. The food is typically good, and service is on point. Unfortunately the last couple of times I’ve been here the food has fallen quite short.

During my most recent visit my normally excellent club sandwich was poorly made and the fries were stone cold when it was brought to me. I decided not to complain, every kitchen has off days.

While I’m eating the manager is standing next to the bar chatting with a friend of his complaining about the customers and how people are whining about their food, and this and that. He was also very short with the bartender when she asked for assistance during this chat, very unprofessional overall.

I decided to get a bread pudding to go, this is typically an excellent dessert. When I got home I noticed it was pretty burnt on top. After biting my tongue on the sandwich and fries I decided to call them on this one. The hostess took my information and said I’d receive a call back, that was 2 days ago.

Hopefully this reaches someone that can bring this place back to what it was. This was one of my favorite local spots but for now it’s time for a break.

This was a nice surprise. All our meals were delicious. The service was excellent (thank you Jennifer), seriously excellent. Back to the food, roasted chicken, Mac & cheese, pesto chicken rigatoni were excellent choices.

This place was amazing! The patio had a fantastic atmosphere, with nearby buildings creating a cozy, enclosed feel around the bar and dining area. The happy hour food deals are absolutely worth it—the portions were generous, and everything had incredible flavor. Plus, there were plenty of heaters for when the sun went down, great lighting, and an overall fun and relaxing vibe.

The service was a bit of a mixed bag. Madison was wonderful—friendly and attentive—but it did take quite a while for someone to first come by and fill our waters. I even overheard the table next to us talking about how long they had been waiting, and I eventually saw one of the guests get up to flag someone down just to get water, let alone place an order. The odd part was that plenty of waitstaff walked by with water, yet our table and the one next to us were overlooked for quite some time.

That said, once the initial wait was over, the rest of the night went smoothly, and the experience overall was still great. I’d be happy to come back for the excellent food and atmosphere. It feels like a reliable spot to bring guests, especially since it’s just a few minutes from our house!

I reeeeeally hate to rate so low because our server was super personable but service was incredibly slow…. from getting drink orders in to actually ordering entrees to forgetting non-alcoholic beverages completely. Thankfully no errors on any of the orders coming out for both food and drink.

It was pretty breezy in shade on the patio but they did have patio blankets when we asked. There were sections of lounge seating in the sun and on the turf areas that seemed to be reserved for parties with children, which is a great idea letting kiddos move around.

Overall, the food was just OK in flavor, temp, and texture – my food was cold and the Bloody Mary mix was not good at all. Three of us ordered one and didn’t even finish them which is abnormal for us. Just flat, and tasteless and a bit thin/watery? Our starters were probably the bear part of everyone’s meals – calamari and burrata I would come back for! The outdoor ambiance is definitely unique. Maybe we were there on an off day (Saturday for brunch)?

Every time we go, it’s great. The food, the atmosphere, everything. My son loves watching the musicians and listening to live music. The patio is also awesome. We’ve brought our dog and it’s always fun to meet other “dog” people. And the food! I’ve ordered something different each time, and each time, it’s awesome.

Great time with family and friends at The Vig. The food was good as usual, although I found my fish & chips portion was in the smaller side. The girls enjoyed their sliders. Chocolate cake was rich and tasty and the whole table loved it. Great neighborhood spot that we’ll continue to support amd enjoy!
