Likely the best view (hence the name) in Keauhou. Very relaxed atmosphere and huge covered patio restaurant. Plenty of shade. Good music in the background not blaring. Would be romantic hang out but not private. Great drinks. Happy Hour 2-4pm. Largest, best Poke Nachos I’ve ever had. Even the house salad was Big. Very friendly and attentive. So… I’ll be back!! Seems like the attitude is better here than some other local places. Feel more welcome here. Good job.

Beautiful location and exceptional view. The food was served quickly and was amazingly delicious! We asked our waitress for suggestions and she recommended the fish or fish tacos. We also HIGHLY recommend them!!! Kate was awesome, and the live music was great. We will happily return many times.

We arrived at The View Restaurant Bar super hungry after our flight from Houston (United didn’t serve food, so you can imagine the mood!). Thankfully, we got seated quickly, though we were warned the food would take at least 45 minutes. Since we were starving, we decided to stay anyway.

The appetizers came out fast—and disappeared just as fast because we dug in like hungry bats . When the main dishes arrived, everyone left satisfied. I ordered the grilled fish, which honestly didn’t look grilled and seemed like it might be tough… but don’t judge a book by its cover! It was actually tender, moist, and really delicious—though I’m still not convinced it was grilled.

Overall, the food was tasty, the service attentive, and the ambiance was spot on. And yes, the name is absolutely fitting—there really is quite a view!

Best loaded burger I had in Kona. The fries were tasty and crisp. The Fish Tacos were delicious and my husband really enjoyed them. Love the atmosphere and the sunset views were perfect. Too many different menus posted online so it was hard to get accurate pricing before we ventured over for dinner.

Great location with nice view of ocean and golf course. We enjoyed the fish and chips. The Ono was done soft and delicious. The beer batter was crispy. The club sandwich looked very good. Our friends shared the sandwich and it was almost too much food. There was live music after we got there around 5pm. People were enjoying their meals and their friendships. The bar was full and people were involved in their conversations. All’s good!

View is great but will not go back. Food was not great, and there were flys everywhere. Our new utensil bundles had bird poop on them.
The jalapeño poppers are the ones you can get frozen at the grocery store and pop them in the oven. The view burger looked promising but was not appetizing. The fish tacos were alright and better than burger but would have rather went to Shaka tacos.

A co-worker and I were in Kona for a golf tournament later in the week … We went four days early to get in much needed practice. We started with a round at Kona CC and then had a late lunch at The View afterward.

It’s an open-air venue on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse overlooking the putting green and views toward the ocean. We started with a Crown on the rocks ($10) and a Hendricks gin & tonic ($12) for me. We ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos ($20) and the Loaded Fries with a topping of kalua pork ($12).

The ahi poke nachos were one of the best we’ve tried … spicy aioli atop ahi poke on a bed of crisp nacho chips. The chips were freshly cooked, or at least it seemed that way to me. The loaded fries were less successful … We like our fries extra crispy and when one gets loaded fries, the topping makes the fries soggy. It’s not the fault of the kitchen; it’s a characteristic of loaded fries. Perhaps loaded nachos would have been a better choice.

In any event, we enjoyed our time at The View though I would have preferred air conditioning as it was a hot and muggy day. Service was attentive and personable. Four stars and recommended.

Go for the food and stay for the view! Traditional bar and grill vibes with the most incredible view. Yummy food, kind servers, great drinks, and it overlooks the golf course and ocean. I loved the live music, anytime of day you go will be great views and vibes.

The View lives up to its name! This find is a locals hangout with great food served in an open air Lanai that overlooks the bay. We enjoyed the fish and chips (Btw, half and half is the way to go!) Along with The Poke Nachos that could feed an army. In addition, The Cajun Fish Taco’s were the perfect portion for lunch. They have a wide selection of options, including gluten free. Kudos goes to Reggie our amazing server and Chad & Seith our snorkel guides for sharing this gem. Go check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s a lovely location and the service was great. The food just wasn’t to our taste and the fish of the day was so over cooked. The poke nachos were too rich with so much sauce and so deep fried. I can see why people loving that fatty indulgence might like them but they were too over the top for me.
