The staff were amazing. Upset I didn’t get any names but all staff we encountered were lovely. We had some dietary requirements (halal) and they accommodated us exceptionally which is so nice to see in Exeter for a fine dining experience. Area was clean and food was amazing and perfectly cooked – compliments to the chef. The lady who showed us our meat beforehand was extremely accommodating and kind too believe she’s a manager was blonde. But overall a great experience even the other customers were nice and took a picture of me and my wife! Lovely day out thank you The View team and to the Courtyard!

We were at an 80th birthday party. From the minute I arrived staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Reception directed me to the bar where I had a lovely glass of sauvignon. Then we made our way up to the restaurant. The food was exceptional, from the warm cheese bread and creamy butter through to the cheese and biscuits. I enjoyed every mouthful. All the food was presented beautifully. I cannot praise the staff enough. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Charlie the host was fantastic! The other waiting staff let him down though as they mixed up a drinks order and kept delivering food to the wrong tables throughout the night.
The food was amazing but portions very small for the price!
There was a very drunk woman who was vaping at the table which was disappointing. None of the wait staff noticed to tell her off and she was so drunk we didn’t wish to say anything and cause a scene.
If the tables were better numbered and wait staff trained a bit better, along with a bit of a bigger portion it would be incredible.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at this hotel. We were evacuated following an unexploded bomb being discovered in Exmouth, and kindly housed by the council. Rooms were wonderful.As we waited the following morning for an up date, the hotel laid on coffee biscuits, sandwiches.The beautiful lady who ran hospitality was so good at her job.She is an asset to the hotel. Thank you.

A fantastic view all the way to Exmouth. Service is very friendly and helpful but sometimes a little insecure. The food is great on the morning buffet as well as at the a la carte in the evening. Plates look fabulous and are also very tasty. Great to hear and see the chef and his team working in the open kitchen. Even with a large group, the food is served hot and at the same time.
For a hotel restaurant, a few more inexpensive dishes should be included, as for a longer stay, the dining alternatives on site and without a car are very rare.
The terrace is unfortunately very noisy due to the motorway.

My wife and I went here last night for my wedding anniversary dinner. Fantastic experience, lovely food and wonderful staff. The views from the restaurant are incredible, the food was delicious with decent portion sizes and given the excellent quality whilst a little pricey is worth it especially as a treat. We were well looked after the the friendly team and I highly recommend if you are in the area and fancy a real treat come here.
