My family enjoyed our dinner. The food and service was out standing. Everyone loved there food. I had the rainbow trout and it was one of the best tasting fish dishes I have ever tasted. My husband’s rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Another family member got the short rib roast, that was very tender and full of flavor. Excellent customer service by the bartender, chef, hostess and waitress. I’d definitely come back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others.

We had dinner and drinks at this restaurant inside the hotel, and the name says it all. The views are absolutely unreal. I tried to capture it in photos, but honestly, unless you are sitting there in person, you just cannot do it justice. It is quiet, calm, and the setting alone makes the experience special.
The service was superb from start to finish. For dinner, we were taken care of by Shru, and he was outstanding. Attentive, friendly, and completely on point the entire time. We were greeted promptly, seated without any issues, and everything flowed smoothly.
The food was excellent and the drinks were phenomenal. Prices were average for the area, but considering the views, the service, and the location, it almost feels like a bargain. We enjoyed it so much that we came back a second night just for drinks after being in town.
That night at the bar was just as impressive. Sebastian and Alfonsina were phenomenal. They crafted each cocktail with real passion and attention to detail. It felt like every drink mattered. They were conversational, engaging, and extremely attentive.
Just like the hotel itself, the service here operates at a different level. If you are staying at the property, this is a must. And even if you are not staying here, it is absolutely worth stopping by for the views, the drinks, and the top tier hospitality.

We got lucky and were able to get a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. We were staying in telluride and rode the gondola up to the restaurant.
It was a great evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful and we are thankful they offered to work during the holidays so us tourist could enjoy a meal with our families. Everyone we interacted with were very kind and generous, especially the valet outside who gave us a shuttle ride to the gondola entrance during the cold night after our dinner!
The food was tasty although some of the items were colder (buffet style and had been sitting) but given the location (in the mountains) and holiday it’s important to stay positive and overall our experience was wonderful.
Would recommend having Thanksgiving dinner here if you’re able to budget it for the ambiance alone.
Had a great time and hope to visit again next year.

The only bar that’s worth going out of your way to visit!! Sebastian and Alfosina at the bar were amazing! Sebastian makes the best old fashion, Alfosina made me the best huckleberry mule ever! The vibes are vibing! Honestly the best experience and drinks in Telluride!

The View has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Telluride (and I’ve been coming for 30 years!). The mountain vistas and view is one of the best in town (only paralleled with Allred’s). There is something remarkable cozy about the high ceiling, log cabins and huge crackling fireplace. Wit live music most nights, you can’t beat this! Although not directly in the mountain village, you can grab a free 5 minute shuttle from any of the bus stops (call the mountain lodge reception and ask for the shuttle). Or take the free gondola (and enjoy the amazing views along the way!) from mountain village to the village market. Seriously one of our favorite experiences in Telluride!!!

Come for the restaurant’s namesake, stay for the amazing seasonal desserts. I’ll be thinking about the huckleberry ice cream for a long time. Trout, pot roast, burger, salads, half chicken, BLTA, and tableware are all excellent. (Skip the elk bolognese and try the dish at Smuggler’s instead.) Servers are great and always make us feel welcome and cared for.

I visited this place for my birthday and could not recommend it more. We had the greatest server, Michael Jackson, who not only provided us with great humor but also a free round of drinks and dessert. Besides the hospitality, the place blew me away with their food alone. I got their chicken which was to die for! My husband got the steak and he said it’s the best flavor in all of Colorado. All of that combined with the view makes this place a 10/10 place to eat.

We are part-time residents and have been visiting Telluride for twenty years, during which time we have eaten at every restaurant in town. The View has a new chef and fantastic service. We tried the restaurant tonight and must say that it is the BEST restaurant in town! Our meal was incredible. Everything was remarkable, including the atmosphere, service, presentation, and food. There were five people in our party tonight, and we had several different dishes. All the food was amazing, especially the short rib. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the View, you won’t be disappointed.

My husband and daughter and I went to the View for dinner. I had the short rib pot roast, my husband had the elk bolognese, and our daughter had the ribeye. Everything’ was absolutely delicious! Sebastian was so friendly and made excellent recommendations. We ended the night with the cookie skillet. So good! It’s the best food that we’ve had in Telluride by far!

My fiancé and I ate dinner at The View during the superbowl this past Sunday. I just needed to take a second to recognize how special the place is. The vibes, the atmosphere, the attention to detail, all of these come together to make The View a 5 star experience. Our server, Abbishek, was very friendly and extremely helpful to us. He went out of his way to ensure we were happy and taken care of. Our experience with dinner and the ease of ability to watch the game made our Sunday a special one. Absolutely will be returning to this special place!
